What you’ll do
SAP aims to develop an Open Reference Architecture (ORA) for a secure and sustainable cloud edge infrastructure that includes intelligent optimization methods for data transparency and security. This reference infrastructure, inspired by the EU IPCEI-CIS (Important Project of Common European Interest – Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services) program, shall be the basis for future software development and a prerequisite for a pan-European cloud edge infrastructure.  
SAP will be working on the publicly funded project with both experienced employees from its existing workforce but also new hires. Therefore, we are looking for suitable candidates. If you are interested in Cloud Operating System development and operation, the usage and further development of Open-Source solutions and standards, interoperability, efficiency, and sustainability you should consider applying.

As a (Junior) Developer (f/m/d) in Gardener's CI/CD team, you're not just building pipelines, you're shaping the future of software development. 
 
As a (Junior) Developer (f/m/d) you will:  
•    Develop and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure for the Gardener project
•    Collaborate with the development team to understand their needs and ensure the CI/CD pipelines meet these needs. 
•    Work on modern, innovative tooling, such as out OCM gear and actively shape its future.  
•    Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the CI/CD pipelines. 
•    Continuously improve the delivery processes to increase efficiency and reliability, leveraging the benefits of OCM where possible. 
 
What you bring  
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
•    Experience in a similar role, working with CI/CD pipelines. 
•    Knowledge of Kubernetes and its architecture and understanding of deploying containers. 
•    Experience with CI/CD tools such as Concourse, Git, or similar. 
•    A strong understanding of software development processes and the software development lifecycle.  
•    Hands-on development experience. Preferably both infrastructure-related (scripting languages) and web development. 
•    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. 
•    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. 
•    Fluency both written and spoken in English and preferably in German.
