What you'll do

• Support the UX team in all stages of the design process: Discover the problems that need to be solved, create designs and interactive prototypes, and validate your work with real end users.
• Prepare, conduct & analyze your own research activities with support from our experienced UX researchers.
• Participate in design reviews with your own designs to identify and discuss design challenges and solve problems as a team.
• Drive projects with real end-to-end responsibility and learn from and with our experts.

What you bring

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences.
• Preferred fields of study: UX Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Media Design, Psychology.
• Design Skills: Basic know-how in design and understanding UX principles in software development.
• Computer skills: Basic knowledge in UX/UI tools (e.g. Figma), basic knowledge in collaboration software (e.g. Mural, Miro).
• Language skills: fluent in English, German as a plus.
• Soft skills: team player, creativity & a keen eye for all things design, very good self-organization & driven by the urge to always learn and improve.
• Work experience in an IT organization is a plus.

The Business Technology Platform (BTP) is one of SAP’s most important strategic areas of investment. It aims to infuse all enterprises with a high level of automation and digitization and to empower our customers to make the most of their business data. Easy to use tools and an outstanding user experience is key to enable our customers to run their businesses at maximum efficiency.

As the experience design department of BTP, our mission is to support the platform by laying the necessary groundwork for an excellent user experience: we conduct research to develop a thorough understanding of our users, we create intuitive and useful designs and assistance offers, and we support our engineering colleagues during implementation of our concepts. To meet the needs of our customers from all around the world, our teams are also international, with locations in Germany, France, Finland, Bulgaria and India, and we are cross-disciplinary, including UX designers, UA writers and user researchers.

Together, we are working closely with our colleagues from product management and engineering to put User Experience at the heart of product success.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
