We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help maximize cloud efficiency, reduce operational costs, and maintain high standards of service quality through innovative, data-driven solutions. The position involves designing and deploying advanced machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) models, conducting rigorous experimentation, and translating analytical insights into impactful business outcomes.
Moving beyond experimentation, the focus is on building scalable AI products and ensuring their seamless integration into production environments. We are looking for an experienced developer who treats “AI as Software” - prioritizing clean code, system reliability, and the tangible business impact of deployed intelligent agents.
What You’ll Build:
- Engineering Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the GCID CCDE Engineering team to design, develop, and optimize ML/DL models tailored for complex, high-impact enterprise challenges.
- Core Data Science: Conduct rigorous data exploration and feature engineering. Develop and train models for diverse tasks, with a primary focus on Time Series Forecasting and Anomaly Detection to drive proactive cloud management.
- Agentic AI Development: Design and implement Agentic AI capabilities, including "Agent of Agents" frameworks. Focus on orchestrating intelligent workflows that automate resource optimization, cost forecasting, and autonomous decision-making.
- Production-Grade Pipelines: Develop, test, and validate end-to-end model pipelines. You are responsible for ensuring that these pipelines are not just accurate, but also robust, scalable, and ready for production deployment.
- Lifecycle Documentation: Document methodologies, experiments, and results with a focus on reproducibility and software best practices to facilitate continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate AI models and agent-based systems into cloud-native environments, transforming analytical insights into functional products that enhance operational efficiency.
What you bring:
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, ML/DL modeling, and applied software development.
Technical Skills:
- Exceptional Python skills with an emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Solid SQL skills for complex data retrieval.
- ML/DL Frameworks: Proven experience with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Software Foundations: Solid understanding of MLOps practices, and the ability to build/consume APIs.
- Practical experience in time series forecasting and anomaly detection for operational monitoring.
- Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agent frameworks (e.g., prompt design, orchestration, or tool-calling).
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):
- Understanding of cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud resource optimization.
- Familiarity with SAP systems or enterprise data landscapes.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
