The Cross Cloud Development Engineering (CCDE) organization is a foundational component of SAP’s global cloud transformation. As part of our FinOps group, in the role of Multi Cloud FullStack Developer, you will be at the heart of FinOps engineering and operational processes, building solutions that empower SAP to provide financial insight to the variable spend model of cloud and generating recommendations and analysis that allow SAP to maximize return on cloud spend. Working to support our lines of business, you will help “run” our next-generation FinOps technologies. What you bring: 

• Cloud Cost Optimization technical framework: create, run, and/or manage tooling to support the analysis and reporting of cloud spend, generate cost optimization recommendations, Reserved Instance (RI) coverage analysis, and assist in implementing cloud optimization monitoring and alerting solutions
• Automation: participate in the development of a central solution for automating cloud cost optimization and cost allocation functions in support of SAP lines of business (LoBs)
• Quality Assurance: facilitate end-to-end testing to ensure the accuracy of the Cloud Cost Optimization technical framework and related services provided (such as reports and automated recommendations)
• Analysis: evaluate cloud spend and management of Reserved Instances (RI), Generate RI coverage & cost recommendation reports, track and monitor RI purchases and utilization (as well as other associated responsibilities)
• Systems Design: design fault tolerant, robust and performant software features that deliver value to our end users
• Lead sub-teams for a particular topic and mentor junior developers

What you'll do:

Minimum 5 years of work experience in software development, with focus in the following areas:

Full Stack Development 

• Experience building end-to-end applications, including:
• • • Front-end interfaces with frameworks such as SAP UI5, JavaScript, React or Angular
    • Back-end services using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot
    • Back-end services using TypeScript and NestJS
    •  
    • Ability to move seamlessly between client-side and server-side logic
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile practices
  • Experience working across the entire development stack
• Cloud Experience

• Exposure to SAP BTP Cloud Foundry, BTP Kyma, or SAP Gardener
• Experience with at least one major provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Bonus Experience
• Development experience using SAP CAP framework.
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL for queries and database design
• Solid understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with cloud APIs and deploying applications in cloud environments
