PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

 

The Services organization drives software and cloud adoption, ensuring our customers journey to become intelligent enterprises. Using our unparalleled expertise, we guide our customers throughout the entire lifecycle to make the benefits of digital transformation a reality, end to end. We offer comprehensive services for every aspect of customers' software implementation or upgrade and operations including continuous improvement, quality management, problem resolution and knowledge transfer.

We strive to further improve our innovative service portfolio and our engagement programs. We put our customers first and aim to enable them to operate with SAP solutions more efficiently and accelerate time to value when implementing new SAP innovations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The General Manager Services, Netherlands (f/m/d) has the overall P&L responsibility for the Services organization in the Netherlands. She/he has the mandate to drive a profitable Services growth agenda targeting all industries with all associated lines of services (professional services, premium engagements, training & adoption, innovative business solutions). With a deep understanding of the customer business agenda / topics and a holistic view on the SAP solutions, she/he will develop and execute a Services strategy, addressing customer needs across our Land-Adopt-Consume-Expand (LACE) motion. Services complement SAP solutions with high quality and innovation, driving cloud adoption and securing the digitalization journey of our customers. The GM Services, Netherlands will lead a team of delivery and sales managers as well as dedicated service partners. 

 

Specific Responsibilities Include: 

 

  • P&L management for the Market Unit Netherlands; KPIs in terms of bookings, revenue growth, profitability push
  • Foster the growth of intelligent services mixes and right-shoring, S/4HANA, Premium Engagement, Intelligent Enterprise Institute, market positioning and execution, reference building and employee satisfaction, productive utilization, etc.
  • Responsibility to position, sell and deliver a comprehensive Services and Support offering portfolio to the Service Industries.
  • Development and roll-out a market and customer focused portfolio strategy based on the regional services strategy and related to Service Industries in alignment with the overall Services portfolio of SAP Germany.
  • Introduce new service offerings and integrated services delivery models for Services Industries.
  • People management and Team leadership, motivation and development to execute the SAP Services strategy.

 

The General Manager (GM) Services, Netherlands will be a member of the country management team reporting into the Head of Services Northern Europe. They will contribute to the overall business strategy of SAP in country and region. We are looking for an entrepreneurially minded transformational leader who will work with our customers, external partners and partnering organizations inside SAP to drive a joint strategy for success.

We are looking for a Services Leader who will be an ambassador of SAP’s How We Run principles and values and who will build an inclusive championship culture and a diverse team that is poised for success in every respect!

  • Define and execute of the Services Industry game plan incl. strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Leadership and development of a market focused organization, establishing an integrated Services team and function in the Netherlands.

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

 

The General Manager Services, Netherlands (f/m/d) will be a market-oriented Services manager with excellent leadership skills and progressive experience of managing a growth agenda of a professional services business in an enterprise software or consulting company with sales/pre-sales experience. More specifically, she/he will have the following experience: 

 

  • Solid experience of running a regional or industry professional services organization, serving all industry segments.
  • P&L management and sales experience for a Services business with the ability to drive a 100m€+ business.
  • SAP Consulting and SAP solutions background with a track record of championing ideas around new service offerings.
  • Demonstrated a strong commitment to customer service and instilling those values within an organization.
  • Track record in engaging business value through effective customer engagement.
  • Outstanding organizational and people leadership skills. A leader that builds through teamwork, a motivator and integrator and culture carrier who will be a valued counterpart in the leadership team.
  • Practices a disciplined process for developing talent on an ongoing basis.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and methodological knowledge and capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and behavior with a high energy and agility.
  • Excellent organization skills and conflict management capabilities to build and manage a diverse and multi-cultural team.

 

EDUCATION

 

Degree caliber; business fluent in English. Dutch on conversational level.
