What you’ll build

Optimization and Digitization of the SBO Application Process between SAP and OpenText

Current Process Description

Request Initiation - An SBO request is initiated via an Excel document that is completed and submitted by the relevant Sales person or Sales Support.

Internal Processing OpenText – Partner Manager The request is received by OpenText’s Partner Manager, who is responsible for the initial assessment and validation.

Coordination with Account Executive (AE) - The Partner Manager consults with OpenText’s Account Executive. Once both parties agree, the internal approval process is initiated.

Internal Approval Process OpenText - A multidisciplinary group within OpenText must review and authorize the SBO. This step involves multiple sequential or parallel approvals.

External Approval by SAP - After internal approval, the SBO is sent to SAP, where the SAP SBO team reviews and officially signs the document.

Addition to the Quote - The signed SBO is included in the quote, which will become part of the order process.

Optional: Price Adjustment If the product is sold under Lower Entry Pricing (LEP), the Calculation Team may adjust the price before the order process continues.

Order Form Approval & Contract Finalization - The formal order form goes through its own, often multi-level, approval flow. After all required approvals, the final contract is drawn up and signed.

• Increasing visibility and traceability for all parties involved

What you bring:

The internship is a master project.

Required skills are:

• Academic level, preferable business administration, management science, marketing or technology
• Broad knowledge in the area of business processes, from supply chain to finance
• Knowledge on information technology, and ERP software, preferably familiar with SAP
• Outgoing, strong in communication
• Committed, hard worker, team-player
• Fluent in Dutch and in English
• Data analytics / intelligence, dashboarding

Where you belong:

Within the collaboration between SAP and OpenText, an SBO (Solution Bundle Offer) is requested for specific deals. This document forms an essential part of the contract and must be reviewed and approved by multiple internal and external stakeholders. The current process relies heavily on manual steps, separate documents, and coordination via email, leading to delays, susceptibility to errors, and a lack of transparency.
