The successful candidate will join the Center of Expertise (CoE) – in the SAP Service and Support Centre Ireland. The goal and mission of the Center of Expertise (CoE) is to ensure optimal performance, availability and smooth operation of SAP software as well as to optimize technical and business processes by delivering engineering services to our installed customer base. CoE is the trusted advisor for value realization, protection of investment and acceleration of innovation. In the CoE, we follow a global team model designed to ensure efficient, cross-regional consistency in employee development, quality of delivery, customer expectation and overall satisfaction. As a CoE Engineer, you will take ownership of high value customers and bring technical and application expert knowledge into their Data Volume Management project. The candidate will be required to jointly define the scope of and support the Implementation of Data Archiving and Retention Management. The candidate should have good knowledge of SAP ILM - Retention Management and Decommissioning/Retention Warehouse. Experience of document management systems would be an advantage.   

The successful candidate must be able to:
• Scope SAP landscape from perspective of Data Volume Management
• Review and optimize existing archive strategy
• Configure, customize and execute SAP ILM Archiving and Retention Management
• Implement SAP ILM Retention Warehouse for system decommissioning including reporting for e-discovery/Legal Case Management
• Discuss data requirements with Key Stakeholders /Business Data Owners
• Configure and execute DaRT (Data Retention Tool) extracts
• Execute and drive end to end Data management Project (testing, benchmarking, configure AIS, read programs, Custom Archiving, Custom Data Access, data destruction)

We are looking for candidates seeking constant challenges in a dynamic environment, creative and not afraid of stretch assignments. 

WORK EXPERIENCE:
• 3+ years of IT Experience.
• Experience of SAP ILM capabilities (Retention Management, Data Archiving, System Decommissioning) is essential.
• SAP product knowledge, especially in the area of ERP solutions.  
• Any ITIL or support experience and experience in managing customers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL COMPETENCIES:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Physics, Maths, Engineering.
• Minimum of 2-5 years work experience in one SAP ERP Solution or module 
• Technical Inquisitive nature with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Hands on working experience of ABAP
• Technical competency and understanding of running IT and business operations.
• Ability to lead by example with technical competency to provide coaching and mentoring.
• Communication skills and strong business acumen.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business users as well as technical team.
• Customer centric.
• Comfortable working on own initiative.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
