Job Description Overview

The Managing Partner – Network Growth Programmes is focused on maximising the value that both our customers and SAP receive from our business partnership through the adoption and use of the SAP Network. The role is a leadership role closely aligned with the Regional Vice President (RVP) and Customer Engagement Executives (CEE) to develop and execute Network growth plans targeted at our high potential, high growth Network node customers. This role will report to the Global Head of the SAP Business Network, IA&C. To be successful, the role requires a senior professional with the expertise and experience to help customers and the assigned CEE successfully implement collaborative procurement and finance solutions while expanding their participation on the Network. The role, by design, is cross functional and will align with leadership across the Organisation.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be an SAP Network knowledge expert and Business Development Expert to support SAP internally, as well as customers, on the demand generation of the potential supplier and the effective use of the SAP Network.
  • Works with the AE, VE, and local Marketing to maximise the supplier demand and communicate progress against agreed KPIs and deliver the trend
  • Works with the CEE and Network Services Manager to communicate progress against agreed KPIs and to help govern the relationship with the customer.
  • Acquire key suppliers which Japanese Buyers desire to Join SAP Business Network by strategic approach
  • Create clear message to potential suppliers to join SAP Business Network smoothly
  • Improve the self-service process analysing the fact and influencing to the team who creates the on-boarding process
  • Develop the partnership with the 3rd party vendor or service provider to have potential to maximize to generate the number of suppliers which join SAP Business Network
  • Plan the demand generation activity and lead the project working with marketing team
  • Conducts customer business and opportunity diagnostics to analyse business case/opportunity drivers, to identify program risks and to establish action plans that deliver near term results and continue to improve ACO business processes related to our network value proposition.
  • Work with the RVP/FRONT to develop and execute quarterly plans that improve Spend adoption across assigned customer portfolios.
  • Participate in quarterly CRR review meetings with CEEs and regional leadership on identified strategic accounts (where required) or CRRs requiring deeper network expertise.
  • Strong partnership with Network Services Managers within the MU.
  • Responsible for knowledge management, best practices, and leading business commerce enablement strategies specific to the SAP Network value proposition.
  • Performs analysis of customer transactional spend file data and PO/Invoice transactional processes and prescribes a supplier enablement program that matches the customer’s goals as well as the contracted SAP solutions set with relevant transaction types to grow the percentage of PO/Invoice/Other documents flowing through the network.
  • Support CEEs and NDL’s in the development of, and ultimate customer signoff of, network flight plan for key accounts identified by the RVP.
  • Provide guidance and validation of lower priority node flight plans created by CEEs while educating CEEs on the process and priority.
  • Recommends new solution capabilities and/or configurations that unlock manual processes for automation through the network.
  • Contribute to knowledge management and network skills for the broader community.
  • Support CEEs with addressing supplier fee concerns with educational materials and process flows. 
  • Assist with articulation of technical issue blockers for network value through support / engineering. 
  • Manage own workload in a flexible and fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in MARKETING events.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Language preferred English and Japanese
  • Four or more year’s work experience in senior Account Management, Consulting or Relationship Management function.
  • Proven experience with business process transformation and re-engineering disciplines.
  • MBA or undergraduate degree in business, finance, or supply chain management (preferred).
  • Excellent programme/project management and customer management competencies.
  • Proven Leadership experience and innovative mindset.
  • General knowledge of collaborative procurement, AP, Treasury and Working Capital management.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skillset and ability to assist CEEs with development of business cases.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload with the minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to handle stress and high-pressure customer conversations (internal and external).
  • Ability to travel 35%
