This is a work from home opportunity.  Can be based anywhere in the US.



The Technical Consultant’s role is to gather client interface requirements based on client business requirements and functional design that meets the needs of the client and falls within the boundaries of core Concur functionality. The Technical Consultant is responsible for the interfacing of a customer’s specific environment as well as all client technical knowledge transfer. Under the direction of the Concur Project Manager, the Technical Consultant completes project milestones, client documentation, builds the environments, and transitions the client to their Production environment.



  • Setup and help maintain client’s environment throughout the lifecycle of an implementation (Configuration, Test/Development, Production)
  • Ability to lead client discussion and training on data integration
  • Ability to perform technical project management and implementation
  • Perform general issue troubleshooting and resolution
  • Support client’s testing cycles – research complex customer problems, issues, and circumstances and provide recommendation, alternatives and risk assessments to project team
  • Communicate "best practice" recommendations based on prior experiences
  • Maintain the migration of software configurations between production and test environments
  • Ensure completion of deliverables, managing schedules, meeting milestones, and ensuring technical integration success
  • Assist in developing and maintaining an internal technical product knowledge base
  • Represent the department on cross-functional teams
  • Manage support cases related to open projects



3+ years of

  • Web Services development experience
  • Basic SQL skills
  • Knowledge of flat files, XML files, and excel spreadsheets
  • Understanding of data format conversion
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills


Preferred but not required skills:

  • Experience in database programming and data integration.
  • Experience with ERP or HR systems. SAP a major plus.
  • Basic Accounting Principles knowledge
  • SAP Concur Expense experience
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with SAML SSO technologies
  • Experience working with 3 major credit card provider’s data
  • Understanding of supply chain system
  • Understanding of business travel and travel agency data
