Job Title: Business Development Specialist

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia or Walldorf, Germany

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Business development Specialist is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for certain industries, markets, products or partners and creating appropriate business plans that use leveraged engagement strategies. SAP Business Development defines partner programs, by securing and contracting partners as alliances to engage in adding value to the SAP product. Core tasks include: Ensures appropriate involvement of SAP and partner personnel in customer projects. Identifies new market opportunities (i.e., products, markets and technology). Monitors company's market share and competition. Participates in customer presentations and meetings as appropriate to ensure closure of business opportunities.

  • Internal Market Storytelling: Craft engaging narratives and stories that highlight SAPs capabilities and successes in the SAP procurement space. Use storytelling to inspire and motivate teams, fostering a sense of pride and unity.
  • Lead Generation Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative lead generation strategies, incorporating storytelling elements into marketing materials, email campaigns, and social media posts to capture attention and generate interest.
  • Internal Client Engagement Content Creation: Create compelling digital content, such as presentations, case studies, and success stories, to support client-facing teams and senior management in their engagement efforts. Develop visually appealing and informative materials that showcase the benefits of SAP procurement solutions.
  • Proposal and Presentation Enhancement: Infuse creativity into proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral to make them more engaging and memorable. Incorporate multimedia elements, storytelling techniques, and interactive features to capture the interest of internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Performance Tracking Visualization: Visualize SAP procurement performance metrics and insights in creative ways, such as infographics, dashboards, and data visualizations. Translate complex data into easily digestible visual representations to facilitate understanding and decision-making.
  • Internal Communication and Coordination Enhancement: Enhance internal communication and coordination efforts through creative channels, such as digital newsletters, virtual town halls, and interactive workshops. Use storytelling and multimedia content to convey important messages 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in program planning and / or evaluating new business development opportunities in new or emerging markets.
  • Experience in Cloud in the B2B environment. Excellent communication and proficient negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in working in a matrix environment.
  • Awareness of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/ business networks.
  • Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science required from an accredited university. MBA or advanced degree in related discipline preferred.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of professional experience in enterprise software sales, sales enablement industry operations, corporate development.
  • Conversational fluency in English, any other language an asset. Fluency in the language of local markets required.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 88100 - 197900 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
