What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Business Technology Platform, Sales Development Executive
Location: Alpharetta, GA Office (Onsite)
Fulltime position: 40 hours a week, minimum 3 days a week in office
Expected Duration: 12 months
Expected Start Date: December 2024
Are you interested in starting a career in sales and are attracted to a customer-facing Sales Development role (SDA)? You will be someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious, as well as likes to work on meaningful innovative projects and is energized by lifelong learning.
Your mission as an intern is to help our teams engage with prospects at the right time, with the right key decision maker and the right personalized content so we can hopefully turn them into SAP customers in the future. Your actions will eventually allow our Account Executives (Sales) to ultimately have a strong pipeline of potential customers. This way, you will contribute to SAP’s revenue growth in our mid-market and large enterprise business segments.
During your placement, you will impact this important part of SAP’s work by learning
- Best practices in digital prospecting such as:
- Deep understanding of industry-specific trends and challenges and how SAP brings value to them
- How to prepare and engage with prospect decision-makers at C Level
- Effective objection handling to unlock challenges and needs that SAP can solve
And you will
- Leverage, nurture, and accelerate digital intent to qualify accounts, identify prospects with the highest propensity to buy
- Reach out to technical and business buyers regarding SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), a unified technology environment optimized for SAP applications.
- Learn and understanding the basics of good data management enrichment, such as profiling, target accounts, industries, personas (typically c-level) etc.
- Learn how to use sales development and reporting tools
- Act as an Intern Program Advocate, such as promotion via social media, university, job boards, etc.

What you bring:
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
- You are ready to commit to a full-time 6-month placement (40 hours per week), 3 days a week in office
- Fluency in French to support the Canadian market is a benefit
- You will ideally be in the last stages of your education and ready for your first career step, so you could be bachelors or master´s student
- Your preferred field of study should have a commercial focus such as Business Administration, Management, Sales, Marketing, Data / Process Management, IT/Digital Transformation etc.
- You have a passion for using technology to solve business problems. You may have interest in topics like enterprise software, analytics & insight, statistics, data management, ERP, app development etc.
- You possess knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Canva etc
- You pay attention to details as well as the ability to deliver highly qualitative work and results
- You are strongly driven, proactive and collaborative with an adaptable problem-solver mindset
- You are an active listener, so you understand assignments, and deliver expected results
Educational Requirements
- BS or Master’s degree
- Previous internship experience helpful

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is $15 - $62 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. SAP offers limited benefits for employees hired into hourly or like roles subject to appliable plan/policy terms.
