Job description

SAP Ariba Procurement Technology Services is a team of high skilled diverse technology consultants that support complex technical configurations to enable spend management business processes and seamless integrations between SAP Ariba cloud solutions and enterprise resource planning systems or external systems. Our team is looking for a Principal Consultant with more than 10 years of experience. This role requires you to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, act as a trusted advisor to our customers, liaise with various teams at SAP to brainstorm solutions and define processes for cross-collaboration, coach and mentor junior consultants as necessary and demonstrate leadership.

Responsibilities

.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical or business problems.
• Establish and nurture relationships with business users, help analyze their processes, make value driven choices by being proactive and adaptive.
• Organize meetings with platform and application engineering teams to brainstorm on technical solutions and track issues towards product fixes or product improvements.
• Identify major technology trends across various industries and partner with SAP Ariba Product and innovation teams to develop product offerings that cater to the complex supply chain needs across businesses.
• Participate in meetings with Product and Innovation teams to prepare for future product releases and cascade the recent developments across product offerings to technology services team members.
• Participate in escalation discussions and comprehend business or technical challenges to devise a plan around de-escalation, positioning right solutions based on project situations and differing business needs, proposing risk mitigation plans and bolstering customer relationships for a smooth product delivery experience.
• Serve as the liaison between our customers’ strategic business leaders and SAP Ariba technical teams to clearly foresee and prevent issues proactively.
• Demonstrate expert level knowledge of key integration points across various ERP systems, middleware solutions and SAP Ariba solutions to provide strategic technical and functional direction.
• Integrate technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for customers.
• Demonstrate broad technical leadership, exert influence outside of immediate team and drive change.

Required Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration with focus on Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or related area.
• Minimum 10 years of technical experience implementing SAP Ariba solutions and integrations
• Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
• Deep understanding of SAP Ariba products and solution offerings.
• Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and led implementations according to the best practice design/architecture.
• Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical internal or external team members, project teams, and other ancillary project members.
• Strong desire to mentor and train junior SAP Ariba resources on delivering best-in class services to our customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on SAP Ariba solutions and SAP ERP or other popular ERP systems with focus on supply chain.
• Hands on project-based experience designing and implementing SAP Ariba and SAP ERP or other popular ERP solutions that involved green field implementations, system conversions or landscape transformations.
• Experience resolving complex customer requests that span multiple solutions (Ariba, Fieldglass,
• Strong business process knowledge and ability to map business requirements to standard SAP/Ariba processes with minimal or no customization.
• Global Delivery Model experience working with geographically distributed teams positioned across global time zones.
• Experience working on multiple concurrent SAP Ariba projects.
• Ability to strategize and support ERP migration projects as a trusted advisor.
• Ability to handle high pressure and high demand situations effectively as a technical or an integration advisor.
• Experience managing project scope, change requests, delivery against defined milestones; mitigate and remediate risk factors within propose solutions based on best practices.
• Experience with SAP implementation methodologies and SAP Solution Manager.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to impart ideas in both technical and user-friendly language, presentation skills and influencing skills.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 151,000 - 340,900 USD USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
