Services Architecture
Responsible for building the business and technology scenarios, which will allow the customer to decide on the most appropriate solutions from the array of existing SAP Solutions (On premise / private or public or SAP cloud / hybrid / Partner-solutions options) to acquire and implement and to do so in an efficient way. Architects consult the customers on all types of Services available, with the end-goal of building the path into a digitized future for them, focusing on our latest technology as well as our entire portfolio of Services and Solutions.
Core tasks include:
Acts as an Advisor to the customer to lead them towards the next step of IT-Services by providing an holistic advice and guidance focusing either on an application/solution, an industry or a technology.
Assess the as-is situation as well as the business goals of the customer and provide a structured path towards an integrated IT-Landscape as well as the relevant operational approach required for the implementation. Validates and optimizes the approach for maximum customer success.
Translate the desired IT end-state scenario of the customer into actionable project steps for the implementation work.
Maintain key relationships with Business Leaders (including but not limited to Chief Information Officer) in the customer in order to jointly design the IT end-state and required Services / Solutions to be implemented.
Coordinate with the different Services roles within the company (Consultants, Project Managers, etc) as well as Development and Sales organization where appropriate the delivery of the resources to implement the customer's road-maps.
Clarifies existing expectations from various stakeholders with the customer, especially in very difficult cases; creates a path to solution which integrates diverse points of views and which serves as a starting point for future business. Collaborates with customer / SAP team for the best possible implementation.
Drives knowledge management and innovation activities based on this experience with customers. Documents successful approaches, tools etc. and makes them available to colleagues at SAP.

The Prinicipal Architect: > Acts as an advisor to the customer with a broad application, LoB or industry understanding. > Understands the as-is situation and goals of a customer holistically (e.g. industry, LoB), can translate them into an appropriate business-driven IT-roadmap and architecture design based on SAP’s offerings and SAP’s cloud strategy, with a clear focus on customer success. > Operationalizes the customers’ business strategies, identifies relevant components, approaches, input, etc. to derive the best possible solution and helping our customers reap the increasingly differentiating benefits of our cloud solutions. > Challenges existing solutions / approaches / concepts, to generate a state-of-the-art and future-ready outcome. > Takes a step back if required and re-defines the concepts so that a constant improvement is guaranteed (agility in solution design). > Clarifies expectations from various stakeholders, especially in very difficult cases; creates a solution which integrates diverse points of views and serves as a starting point for future SAP business. Collaborates with customers, partners and SAP teams for the best possible implementation. > Drives knowledge management and innovation activities based on this experience with customers. Documents successful approaches, tools etc. and makes them available at SAP internally. > Collaborates and co-innovates with the respective development teams. > Fully understands and leverages the capabilities of SAPs technology platform(s). > Explains and uses various Architectural patterns – e.g. micro-service based architecture, reactive architecture, cloud native etc. > Supports sales deals by articulating deployment scope, design, roadmap, and estimates. > Designs a to-be architecture for optimal outcome that supports the realization of expected business outcomes. > Defines the strategic, conceptual, and organizational scope for the design of the SAP-centric IT landscape, especially when customer requirements are very challenging. > Based on their domain knowledge, develops the business, application, data, technology or enterprise architecture in close collaboration with the customer, considering all aspects of complex / extraordinary situations, to generate delightful solutions for customers. > Stays up-to-date with newest developments driving business and technology trends and uses this knowledge to expand the list of the SAP innovation stories with tangible customer engagements. > Understands their respective role in the overall SAP team and acts accordingly. > Contributes to avoiding escalations especially by proactive leadership of the customer and the deployment of an appropriate project & program governance. > Troubleshoots success-critical customer issues related to SAP, independent of their nature. > Acts based on their Architect role in service delivery, as Business Architect, Application (Solution) Architect, Data Architect, Technical Architect or Enterprise Architect. > Advises and mentors diverse teams, which include customer, partner and SAP resources.

Experience & Educational Requirements
Functional Experience > Minimum Job Experience: 9 Years > Experience in end-to-end architectural design for hybrid solution landscapes Managerial Experience > Takes responsibility from time to time as a sub project lead and/or team lead Education > University degree or equivalent work experience > Fluency in English and Greek> Other languages are an asset Professional Training & Certification > TOGAF or SAPA200
