What you’ll do:
The BTS Enterprise Architect role will lead innovation and digital transformation initiatives for SAP’s largest and most important customers. This job can be split into two major aspects to the position: ‘Architect / Advisor’ and ‘Business Development Lead’.
The Architect/Advisor aspect of the role provides comprehensive advice to our clients on long- and short-term opportunities, recommend innovation opportunities that aligns with the anticipated future direction of both business and IT, create transformation and capability roadmaps that incorporates key capabilities, data, people and organization alignment, together with compelling business cases to help guide our client’s strategic decision-making.
The BTS business development lead aspect of the role supports demand generation of SAP services, the qualification and development of opportunities and the creation of services proposals. The business development lead works with all Sales and Delivery Areas to improve the business development process and support the solutioning leads.
This is a key leadership role, requiring deep knowledge and understanding of SAP solutions, core business processes and industry best practices. Excellent facilitation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to effectively engage with executive stakeholders, partners, and SAP account teams.

Facilitate collaborative architecture discussions with our customers executives

Work effectively across multiple functions and teams to define clear requirements to achieve business outcomes

Guide customer teams in using Enterprise Architecture frameworks, establishing governance models

Develop strategic and tactical roadmaps for the full transition of the customer’s solution landscape

Design target integration and technical architecture, deployment models as well as transition scenarios

Leverage industry and SAP reference architectures and enterprise architecture frameworks

Drive continuous improvement of the pursuit fulfillment process

Support all Sales and Delivery Leaders and Management throughout the solutioning and pursuit fulfillment process

Provide insights and reports about status and performance of solutioning and pursuit fulfillment process to leadership
What you bring:

Leadership: Strong leadership skills - able to lead customer engagements at an executive level.

Executive Engagement: Track record of building senior stakeholder relationships, across business and IT, and establishing a trusted advisor role.

Business Development: Actual evidence of successful client facing lead generation and business development results, including creating and executing a pursuit plan. Most importantly, experience with defining on-going approach and architecture for implementation during the pursuit.

Business Consulting: Strong skills in problem solving, creating high quality deliverables, and interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.

Business Acumen: The ability to develop business cases and estimate the financial impact of various solutions and architecture alternatives.

Communications: Excellent written and verbal communications, including presentation skills with the ability to present and discuss higher-level strategies and solution and technical information to an executive audience.

Architecture: Strong knowledge and experience in Architecture (Business; Solution; Technical; and Enterprise), including experience with Greenfield and Brownfield architectural implications.

Business Process: Deep knowledge of a core line of business processes (e.g. Finance, Human Capital, Supply chain etc.) and good knowledge of core line of business processes.

Industry: Knowledge and /or experience of one or multiple industries (e.g. Retail, Oil & Gas, Consumer Products etc.) advantageous.

10 years+ experience of SAP solution capabilities and consulting experience.

5+ years of SAP solution experience, 5+ years management consulting experience

Certifications: Relevant SAP certifications; Enterprise Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Open CA, IASA are valued.

MBA preferred.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 171300 - 291200(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
