What you'll do:

• Providing administration support for SAP Ariba’s globally distributed cloud database infrastructure
• Analyzing automation, monitoring, and tools gaps in the Database infrastructure and design, build processes and solutions to address
• Support in place cluster upgrades as well as public cloud migration activities
• Writing and maintaining automation pipeline for cluster deployment in public cloud domain
• Work on security and encryption related activities
• Provide on-call support and weekend maintenances for Ariba’s cloud infrastructure
• Learn and adopt database technologies such as Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, Hadoop along with SAP HANA to provide development and operational support

What you bring:

• Expert knowledge on SAP HANA/Hana Cloud and/or one or more NoSQL datastores like Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL
• 4+ years of experience in designing highly available, scalable and performance efficient database clusters
• Hands-on experience on GCP, AWS, CloudSQL, terraform, ansible, git and Jenkins
• Understanding of K8S and microservices architecture
• Knowledge on implementing encryption at rest and encryption in transit
• Experience working with petabyte scale complex deployments and projects
• Motivated and self-driven to learn and adapt to new technologies
