The Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Cloud Delivery department – as part of the P&I organization - is responsible for the complete life cycle management (planning, production, and operations) of SAP’s IBP Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

The IBP Cloud Delivery department drives and executes all required activities based on an end-to-end approach and facilitates all functions from development engagement to cloud architecture, design, production, life cycle management and other services of our productive customer landscapes.

We are looking to fill the position of an SAP Cloud DevOps Engineer in the area of Shift lead role in the IBP Cloud Delivery department in Bangalore, to contribute to the fast growing Cloud Landscape of IBP Product

As a member of the Cloud Delivery Team you will be responsible for the shifts and ensuring tasks are assigned to respective shift members and also tracked. You will also get the opportunity to know about newest technologies like Fiori and Netweaver/ABAP, collaborating closely with IBP Product Development, Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure and Solution Management colleagues spread across various geographies.



  • Lead the Operational Activities in an Ops / Shift Lead role, to ensure all deliverables are met, meeting the SLAs and KPIs.
  • End to end responsibility of daily running of the operations team and their deliverables, reporting to Service Leads and Management.
  • Review and plan the various activities scheduled for the day / shift, and assign tasks to Operations team.
  • Continuously review the status of critical activities, and manage the progress and priorities according to the context, to meet the timelines and quality.
  • Own and drive P1 escalations, coordinating with Experts from Operations, Infrastructure, Development and other technical teams, following the Escalation Management process.
  • Support Continuity of Business.
  • Work closely with Service Leads and Management to understand Operational activities changes in architecture, and support implement the objectives thru the 24x7 Operations team.
  • Manage stakeholders thru various communication channel, and provide regular updates on the deliverables.






  • Bachelor, Master or equivalent graduate. (Full Time/Regular education only)
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills in English.
  • Good Coordination and delegation skills.
  • Expert in ITIL/ITSM processes.
  • Ability to communicate and manage expectations of stakeholders to the level or Senior Managers & L1 management.
  • Strong Microsoft Office tools like MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Powerpoint.
  • Understanding of SaaS and Cloud offerings or products, and related processes is an advantage.
  • Customer oriented, self-motivated and pro-active working attitude.
  • Working in fast changing environments, acquiring and sharing knowledge and improving processes.
  • Good understanding of SAP Basis, OS, Virtualization and other Infrastructure areas like Storage and Network.



  • Experience: 4-7 years.
  • Strong Communication and Coordination skills.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Escalation Management /Service lead
  • Must have worked on production support Project.
