We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in cloud-native environments and lifecycle management tools.

What you’ll do

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a part of our SAP BTP Multi Channel delivery & DC Buildout team based in Bangalore, India. Your responsibilities will include:
•    Driving the implementation and continuously improving complex software deployments of SAP BTP platform and SAP BTP services.
•    Designing, testing, and rolling out new lifecycle management solutions utilizing the Open Component Model (OCM) for specific sovereign and private cloud setups.
•    Supporting SAP development teams in adopting new lifecycle management tools and OCM-based deployments.
•    Educating and supporting SAP colleagues and third-party operators in setting up and running SAP BTP services in sovereign and private cloud environments.

What you bring

•    Minimum 8 years of experience for Senior DevOps Engineer and 14+ years of experience for DevOps Expert in cloud-native development or development operations with cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, containers, and various hyperscaler APIs.
•    Solid understanding of CI/CD, IaC/IaD, GitOps concepts in Cloud Native software delivery and LM.
•    Hands-on experience in different lifecycle management tools and technologies like Terraform, Concourse, ArgoCD, OCM, Flux, Jenkins, etc.
•    Experience in deployments on major hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
•    Sound development skills in a scripting or programming language such as Bash, Python, Golang, Java, etc.
•    Excellent analytical skills with a track record of designing and solving challenging technical problems.
•    Good working experience with agile and scrum practices. as well as working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
•    Experience with Kubernetes extension concepts like CRDs, operator pattern, reconciliation, etc. 
•    Positive mindset, team player, humble, transparent, and highly adaptable 
•    Curiosity and track record for quickly learning new technologies, concepts, and tools

The SAP BTP Multi Channel delivery & DC Buildout team is part of T&I BTP Foundation Unit and is responsible for driving and executing the SAP Business Technology Platform strategy for deploying cloud products into restricted and private environments. The team has end-to-end ownership of the complete topic to ensure an excellent customer experience for the SAP BTP Sovereign Cloud product portfolio.
