As a Software Engineer, Tools and Infrastructure, you will be at the heart of SAP’s engineering process building software that empowers engineering teams to develop and deliver high quality products quickly. We are focused on solving the hardest, most interesting challenges of developing software at scale without sacrificing stability, quality, velocity or code health.
We at Procurement Quality Tools team, ensure SAP Procurement products success by partnering with engineering teams and developing scalable tools and infrastructure that help engineers develop, test, debug and release software quickly. We impact thousands of SAP customers by increasing the pace of product development and ensuring our products are thoroughly tested. We are advocates for code health, testability, maintainability and best practices for development and testing.

 

We achieve this by developing best in class tools and processes in the CI/CD space that greatly enhance developer productivity and operational efficiency. We are working on cutting edge domains & technologies like Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Artifactory, Vagrant, Terraform, ansible, ELK/EFK stack, Grafana, Dynatrace, Telegraf, Influx, Katalon, Selenium grids.The ideal candidate is passionate about improving developer productivity and operational efficiency by developing cutting edge DEVOPS tools and techniques. She/He able to operate with minimal supervision and are good at establishing relationships with peer teams and collaborate professionally to accomplish our goals.

 

Role:

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Cloud Operations colleagues to build CI/CD tools and applications.
  • Design and Develop tools and applications to improve the efficiency of our Development and Cloud Operations colleagues.
  • Provide production and development support for the CI/CD tools and applications.
  • Create high quality design, efficient code and follow the Principle of Everything as Code
  • Contribute to code reviews, design reviews & technical presentations.
  • Participate in all the required scrum meetings.

 

Role Requirement

 

  • B Tech in Computer Science with minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience or M Tech in Computer Science with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in developing DEVOPS applications and tools using one or more of the following programming languages – Python, Groovy, Java or Go.
  • Experience in Linux System Administration, Troubleshooting, and Shell programming.
  • Experience in developing monitoring tools and dashboards using Telegraf, Grafana and InfuxDB.
  • Experience in container ecosystem such as Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience using Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Infrastructure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in developing software using agile methodologies is a plus.
