Strengthening the connection between HR and operations by bringing together core HR and payroll, talent management, learning, people analytics, and employee experience management with other enterprise applications and processes, SAP SuccessFactors Human Experience Management Suite (SAP SF HXM) unit enables businesses to thrive in the new normal.

We are looking for a junior DevOps engineer to join the infrastructure team for cloud operations at SAP. This team is building next-generation infrastructure, thus enabling the company transition to public cloud infrastructure. This is an exciting time for those who are looking to help with this transition.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Learn about hyperscale environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud and ensure products run reliably and optimally in these environments.
• Collaboratively design new features and work closely with our engineering and operations team to build, integrate, test, and deploy your amazing innovations and algorithms into our production systems.
• Be the DevOps champion in the organisation, helping Scrum teams to stay on top of the latest trends and tools.
• Develop, test, and maintain build systems, CI/CD frameworks, and deployment tools. Automate and streamline deployment processes.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Overall 3-4 years of experience with a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
• Knowledge in Cloud technologies and Cloud Services (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, AliCloud).
• Knowledge of virtualization and Linux.
• Exposure to datacenter/cloud/network environments.
• Ability to work in a distributed organization of highly motivated and qualified individuals.
• Fluency both written and spoken in English,

TECH YOU BRING

• Basic experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or similar.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Exposure to configuration management tools like Chef and/or Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Basic understanding of networking, security, and systems administration in cloud environments.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Dynatrace, Zabbix, Splunk, ELK, etc. (preferred but not required).

TECH YOU'LL LEARN

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
• Understanding of public cloud and multi-cloud technologies
• Hands-on on experiences on automation solutions
• Learning and development on config management (Ansible, Python)
• Learning DevOps/GitOps tools (Jenkins, Argo CD, monitoring tools)
• Learning opportunity for design and development as part of DevOps efforts
