The Team

 

The Private & Restricted Cloud team is chartered under The Intelligent Enterprise & BTP Foundation L1 Unit and is focused on establishing a harmonized Sovereign BTP Cloud Offering for our customers in need.

 

The Role

 

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will support in the required adaptation of our public cloud offerings to make it ready for a standardized use restricted cloud environment.Come and be part of the team that can influence the way platform is built for restricted cloud environments.

 

  • Work with services teams to achieve high level of availability, reliability, resiliency and performance of their services running on Private Cloud.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and service level reporting.
  • Knowhow of Automation experience with at least one configuration/deployment management system such as Terraform, Ansible or other similar tools 
  • Create, maintain and roll out technical best practices documentation.
  • Implement & manage infrastructure through automation (Infrastructure as Code) like Gardener on vmware/kubernetes cluster.
  • Apply SRE best practices.
  • Working with geographically distributed teams.  
     

 

The Role Requirements

 

  • 3 - 6 years of relevant experience with Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science.
  • Experience programming in one (or more) of the following language: Go, Python so on.
  • Good understanding of tools like Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins and Grafana Dashboard.
  • Experience in using monitoring tools like Prometheus, ELK, Grafana etc.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux internals.
  • Understanding of Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes concepts.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exposure to ITIL/ITSM processes.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt according to the team requirements.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills, team spirit and handling cross team collaboration
