Summary:
 

For our Demand Generation Go-To-Market Services for Marketing team, as part of the Customer & Partner unit in the Corporate Processes & Information Technology (CPIT) Organization, we are seeking an IT Technical Senior Consultant/Developer. Given that the marketing business is data-driven, it relies heavily on a robust data foundation. Therefore, a key focus of this role will be to establish necessary integrations between various data sources and ensuring that data management-related applications are designed, developed, and operated in a most automated, reliable, performant, and legally compliant manner.

The Role:

In this role, the primary focus will be on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Customer Data Platform (CDP), SAP Sales Cloud, and third-party systems such as Outreach.io, Marketo, among others. There will be an opportunity to utilize the latest SAP Integration technologies and platforms, combined with AI capabilities where applicable. You will collaborate with colleagues across the CPIT Organization, as well as other development and business units globally, to contribute to strategic internal programs sponsored by SAP’s executive management.

You will be responsible for the following activities:

• Development covering design, coding/customization/configuration, testing and quality assurance of product features.
• Covering Quality Assurance measures including Test Automation
• Resolve issues within own area of expertise and support others in resolving issues.
• Consulting with business colleagues to understand requirements and then translating them into technically feasible solutions.
• Adopt agile software engineering methodology to develop features in increments.

What you bring 

Technology Skills:

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology.
• 8+ years of professional working experience in IT or developer role with strong technical exposure.
• Knowledge & experience in SAP product portfolio with focus on SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP Sales Cloud & SAP CDP
• Experience in data integration & data handling projects
• Experience in Java or JavaScript & Python.
• Experience in POSTMAN or similar tools for creating and testing API for test automation of API’s
• Experience in SAP FIORI / SAPUI5.
• Knowledge of marketing automation systems like Marketo as well as event driven architecture
• Interest / knowledge in latest technology trends like Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), etc. are beneficial

• Ownership mindset with the ability to take full responsibility for deliverables.
• Problem-solving skills, Solution orientation, attention to detail and strong focus on quality.
• Strong collaboration, clear communication, and adaptability to work with a global team as well as able to work independently.
• Fluent in English (German a plus).

The Demand Generation Go-To-Market Services Marketing team is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating IT solutions that support SAP’s core business processes, primarily in Marketing. This role involves close interaction with respective Lines of Business (LoBs). As trusted advisors and experts to the business, we drive the simplification, harmonization, and enhancement of business processes. We provide solutions for the Demand-to-Lead process area by adopting innovative and state-of-the-art design methodologies, leveraging modern technologies to achieve higher operational effectiveness.

In addition to our daily operations, we are committed to technology and continuously seek innovative ways to enhance our work processes and deliver value to the business. Consequently, we are seeking a highly qualified individual with a mindset for delivering exemplary service to our internal customers. This role will contribute to advancing SAP’s Marketing Technology as part of our collective transformation journey to reach SAP’s objectives. Team members are in Walldorf (Germany) and Vancouver (Canada) so far. We are now hiring in Bangalore (India) building on an overall formidable CPIT team size & foodprint in this location already.
