Summary

 

As part of Cloud & Lifecycle Management, Software Logistics enables many key aspects in the lifecycle of a given product, such as system installation, update, functionality enhancements, and technical configuration of SAP systems. Our mission is to provide customers with high quality and easy-to-use tools and procedures, thus ensuring peak system operations at an overall low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).Within SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, SAP HANA Cloud Platform, and SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, the Software Logistics unit is highly focused on developing the industry-leading infrastructure and tools for Installation, Upgrade, Update, System Copy, and Technical Configuration of SAP products.Our team work on the latest products like S/4HANA, Business Suite, NetWeaver and the HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC). We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Java Developer to engage in our next challenges, in delivery and adoption of future mission-critical SAP solutions on HANA Enterprise Could (SAP HEC), driving new and state-of-the-art industry standards and technical innovations. The developer will work with tools like SPC and need to develop process improvement and optimizing automations thus contribute towards lowering TCO.

Role

  • You will be working in a cross-functional team of talented, supportive, and motivated colleagues, following agile methodologies and industry best practices, with main focus on automations via SPC for the cloud environment
  • You will define and analyze products requirements, create, and read functional and design specifications; write and support the relevant software code base
  • You will do conceptual research and prototyping to expand product capabilities
  • Focus on quality – unit, functional, integration testing, etc.
  • Follow SAP product standards applicable for your development
  • Work with customers and end users
  • You will perform operations tasks for the service you’re working on.

Role Requirement

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent education
  • 3-6 years of IT experience

  • Experience in handling developments across different teams.

  • Strong Programming language skills in Core Java.
  • Strong programming skills, as well as the ability to read and code review complex code bases written by others
  • In depth Knowledge in SPC and SPC development is a definite plus
  • Knowledge of Shell Scripting or Perl is a definite plus
  • Experience of working in an Agile/Lean development cycle
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work without close supervision over complex tasks and innovative projects
  • Excellent team player, with strong communication skills, passionate about his/her work, self-motivated and driven
  • Written and verbal fluency in English.
