The unit’s mission is to revolutionize the front office and bring it together with SAP S/4HANA, tailored for industry use cases. Our IES & Integrations team is part of the SAP Industries and CX organisation and makes it simple for customers to succeed, with seamlessly integrated solutions and industry-centric use cases. The development team in Bangalore defines and provides integrations between products like SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Customer Data Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud and SAP S/4HANA to deliver on SAP’s integration promise.

THE ROLE
 
To fit into our team, you should be passionate about software development and understand the importance of product quality and customer needs. You’ll work on challenging development projects in an ambitious and highly efficient team. Several technologies and system environments are part of your work, and collaboration with other groups is crucial. We apply agile methodologies and you will make sure that we execute efficiently along these principles and meet high quality standards with our developments. The role combines the below mentioned tasks of a Senior Developer for one of our development teams. In this role you will:

• Design, code and test product features by following agile development practices and according to the Quality, Security and Performance Product standards
• Take technical ownership for deliverables of the team, including architectural aspects
• Work closely with architects across the SAP Industries and CX organisation
• Demonstrate excellent quality, design, development and delivery skills in scrum teams working in short development and release cycles
• Support Continuous Integration tasks for our pipeline
• Drive improvements and innovations in development
• Apply latest cutting-edge cloud technologies
• Work with geographically distributed teams seamlessly

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in computer science engineering or related field
• 8-12 years of experience in product development
• Proven track record of technical leadership in enterprise-grade product development
• Prior experience of SAP Commerce related development is a must
• Knowhow of Cloud and Open Source, Object-Oriented Concepts
• Proficiency in Java programming and Data Structures, Java Script/Node JS/Angular JS, React JS
• Knowledge of Micro Services, Kubernetes, Docker etc.
• Knowhow of Databases (HANA, MongoDB, Postgres)
• Familiarity with Github, CI/CD and Web Technologies API/REST/ODATA/HTTP, JSON
• Experience with cloud-based development using Cloud Foundry, Docker, AWS, Azure will be preferred
• SAP Business Technology Platform (Cloud Platform) Integration will be an added advantage 
• Understanding of SAP Development process is a plus
• Good communication, social and organizational skills 
• Ability to work on multiple parallel releases
• Ability to working in a distributed team
• Ability to work in a scrum-based agile mode
