PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
    
Non ABAP Assembly Services (NAAS) team, part of the Production Services unit, is an integral area of  the “PE COO” board, handling DevOps, assembly/build & release, code signing and shipment of artifacts to SAP customers on all shipment models like on-premise, on-cloud, on-device. Processes are continuously adapted to the requirements of new SAP products and technologies.

The Non-ABAP Assembly team builds C/C++, .NET and Java Software components using
different source code management systems and build processes. We also provide Consulting for development teams regarding assembly and delivery processes in On-premise.   

We also enable various development teams on CI/CD pipelines to ensure best in class DevOps and development practices across SAP. To support this journey, well established DevOps principles are a must. 

Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, a core area of the DevOps paradigm, enables developers to manage their entire development environment, testing scenarios, deployment landscapes on SCP, thus enabling quick shipment to customers with high quality, transparency and confidence. 

The Role: 
 

After an intensive training phase, you will take care of the assembly for SAP products.

•    You will work closely together with Development, Quality management, Central infrastructure and Validation teams, gaining a strong network within the organization and will be involved in the complete lifecycle of SAP products.
•    On the technical front your work will include Assembly: starting from the setup of the software builds, hand-over from development, and operational tasks of builds and creation of software media. 
•    You will be responsible for consistent and realistic production plans (drive problem resolution, perform risk assessment and handle escalations) and coordination with different SAP stakeholders. 

Requirements :     

•    Knowledge of system administration on windows or Unix (any flavor)
•    3-5 years of experience in a similar role
•    Knowledge in Release management or Software Production processes 
•    Knowledge of Schedulers like Redwood, Jenkins etc.
•    Knowledge of any source code management system like Perforce, Git, etc.
•    Experience in independent handling of projects
•    Strong in Analytical thinking and excellent communication skills
•    Ability to work with the team in the design and development aspects for the product 
•    Knowledge of shell scripting and other languages like Groovy, Python etc. is preferable.
