THE ROLE
 

• Develop tooling, platform and services to support SAP RnD engineering efforts
• Manage environments and support projects in large scale enterprise environments 
• Manage, optimize and report on infrastructure costs
• Use your strong design and technical skills to enable developers and operations teams reach their RnD goals
• Document and present systems and system utilization to operations, engineering, and executive teams
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers delivering mission critical RnD services 

 
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
 

• Good understanding of public cloud providers and hands-on experience on one or more of Azure, GCP or AWS
• Familiar with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Splunk, ELK, CatchPoint etc.
• Familiar with APM tools like Dynatrace, SignalFX, AppDynamics etc.
• Good with metrics analysis and generating automated reports
• Strong troubleshooting experience specific to compute performance and optimization to help drive TCO targets
• Understanding of Cloud storage and DBAAS technologies
• Strong Linux skills and Network understanding to troubleshoot and trace symptoms back to the root cause
• Familiar with virtualization techniques, Storage and Compute concepts
• DevOps experience with infrastructure automation solutions is a plus (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
