What you’ll do:
Be part of the Engineering team located in Bangalore and work in a highly motivated Scrum team. Your responsibility will be to cover all stages and tasks within the entire software development cycle:
- You work as an ABAP/Java developer in an agile development team according to the Scrum methodology
- You develop both new functionalities and cloud qualities (“non-functional requirements” e. g. product standards like security, reliability, scalability, supportability, performance, health check monitoring, and compliance with technical guidelines (TG)) in the SAP ERP backend and in the Employee Central part of the Employee Central Payroll product. We have experienced colleagues in your team to support you in acquiring the knowledge you need to build up.
- You take over responsibility for design, implementation, quality assurance, testing, maintenance.
- You have a strong customer focus and cloud mindset (“You build it, you run it.”). You adhere to Engineering processes & SLAs, and you contribute to second level cloud customer support together with other locations.
- You closley collaborate with colleagues across functions and organizations, e.g. PM, Cloud Ops, UA, UX.
- You constructively contribute to change management, engineering excellence and continuous improvement
What you bring:
- Excellent programming skills; very good knowledge and experience in ABAP or in Java development
- 6 to 12 Years of experience in development
- Very Good ABAP Platform knowledge (SAP NetWeaver)
- You have a strong customer focus and cloud mindset
- Excellent analytical skills
High self-motivation and execution skills: result-driven, ability and willingness to quickly take responsibility and to execute with high quality.
- You have a “can-do” attitude and see possibilities where others see challenges
- Strong social skills and outstanding team player – consensus building and openness to new ideas and intercultural co-operation
- Very good English language skills (written and verbal) is a must
Preferred skills
- Experience e.g. as SAP consultant especially in one of the following areas is a strong advantage:
- ABAP Platform (SAP NetWeaver) on-premise
- Human Capital Management
- Integration of HR Renewal / SAP HCM for S/4HANA with 3rd party and SAP systems
- Conversion from HR Renewal to SAP HCM for S/4HANA (H4S4)
