SUMMARY
Within the area of Consumer Industries, we are focusing on building solutions that help Retail companies to plan their business as well as their supply chain. Amongst others, many of the well-known globally operating grocery, hardgoods and specialty retailers, as well as fashion brands are our customers. Also, there is a great focus on forecasting, planning and replenishment use cases in the Retail and Consumer Industries. In addition to the regular setup of Scrum teams, the engineering team includes data science experts to develop and make use of state-of-the-art scientific concepts. In collaboration with the generic/standard LOBs our goal is to deliver best in class planning and supply chain processes to cater for constantly evolving business requirements within a fast-changing environment with a clear industry focus.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will implement/support in the required adaptation of our public cloud offerings to make it ready for a standardized use restricted cloud environment. - Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Cloud Operations colleagues to build CI/CD tools and applications
- Design, develop, test and deliver container-based execution environment.
- Design and Develop tools and applications to improve the efficiency of our Development and Cloud Operations colleagues
- Provide production and development support for the CI/CD tools and applications.
- Create high quality design, efficient code and follow the Principle of Everything as Code
- Support the delivery roadmap and drive incubation of new technologies.
- Invest oneself in good development lifecycle practices.
- Working in a fast-paced team environment with ability to delivery features end-to-end.
Role Requirements
- 8-14 years of relevant experience in software development & strong educational qualifications (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or MCA from reputed institutes)
- Highly motivated and technology oriented.
- Deep knowledge in containerization (Docker), scaling of services using orchestration (Kubernetes), traffic management (Istio) and similar services.
- Experience on various deployment methodologies like green-blue / canary deployment etc
- Good understanding of Timeseries Databases like Graphite, Influx DB to bring in Persistance, and Grafana dashboard
- Experience on pipeline-based deployment – conversant with CI tools like Git, SVN, Jenkins etc.
- Experience with BTP Kyma based Deployment and DWC is highly desirable.
- Experience with 4+1 cloud infrastructure providers and abstraction layers such as Gardener.
- Exposure to large scale cloud software build, integration, and test environments.
- Hands-on experience in Java, SQL, JavaScript, Python, Go, Shell Script and Ruby working in a test driven environment.
- Agile and fast Learner with an optimistic attitude, taking the team along towards a common goal.

- Beside the above-mentioned expectations and qualifications, Experiences with other SAP Cloud Operations would be of advantage, such as S/4HANA Cloud Operations or any other SAP Solution
