Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Engineer - (Cloud Infrastructure)

As a Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d), you will design & setup a sovereign and restricted reference infrastructure. The reference environment is hosted on Google Distributed Cloud Hosting (GDCH) and prepared for K8S (Gardener) clusters and SAP workload. The infrastructure must provide the required services like Storage (Block, Object, …), Repositories (Container, Images, …) plus Network and Security related capabilities, which must be installed and maintained by the infrastructure team.
 

What you'll do

As part of the job, you define and specify the specific Cloud infrastructure services which are deployed and configured according to the payload requirements. Additionally, you support the deployment teams for the various BTP services.Support and educate our stakeholders and third-party operators in operating their own BTP Sovereign & Private Cloud environments.

What you bring 

•    Minimum 4 years of experience for DevOps Engineer and 8+ years of experience for Senior DevOps Engineer with Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science.
•    Must have good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, VLANs, etc) 
•    Must have good understanding of Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes concept. 
•    SAP BASIS experience is a plus. 
•    Understanding of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) is a plus. 
•    Excellent troubleshooting, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
•    Experience working directly in a customer-facing role is a plus.
•    Ideally a deep understanding of network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and others 
•    Experience with tools such as packet sniffers, network probes, command line debugging, site survey tools and spectrum analyzer software 
•    Prior experience with implementation of large scale network within a data center is highly desirable 
•    Industry accredited certification (CCIE, JNCIE, etc.) is desirable 
•    Hands-on experience with Cisco, NetApp and HP switches & routers is a plus
•    Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt according to the team requirements.
•    Demonstrates good communication skills, team spirit and handling cross team collaborations.

The SAP BTP MultiChannel delivery & DC Buildout team is part of T&I BTP Foundation Unit and is responsible for driving and executing the SAP Business Technology Platform strategy for deploying cloud products into sovereign and private environments. The team has end-to-end ownership of the complete topic to ensure an excellent customer experience for the SAP BTP Sovereign Cloud product portfolio.
