We are looking for a Senior SAP HANA engineer to join the infrastructure team for cloud operations at SAP SuccessFactors. This team is building next-generation infrastructure, thus enabling the company transition to public cloud infrastructure. This is an exciting time for those who are looking to help with this transition.
What you’ll do
- You will be part of 24/7 Operations team in handling the critical tasks
- Lead efforts in automation, continuous deployment, and build and configuration management.
- Develop and maintain a monitoring system that overlooks our build landscape.
- Suggest and drive improvements in how the team works.
- Collaborate with teammates to hone your ideas and build consensus.
- Identify and address security and performance issues.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
What you bring
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others, as well as work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline that provides a solid background in software development.
- Passion for learning new technologies and programming skills.
- Strong technical problem solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Proficient knowledge and administration experience in SAP HANA
- Experience of working in large landscape/environment where multiple database flavors are running.
- Experience on SAP Tools like SolMan, FRUN, LAMA is preferrable
- Experience on managing critical SAP HANA Databases is a must
- Cloud Technologies: Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Capacity Management: Skilled in monitoring and optimizing resource allocation.
- Performance Tuning: Proficient in identifying and resolving system performance issues.
- Hands-on experience on DB lifecycle management topics and pacemaker cluster
- Knowledge on DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) is an added advantage
- Should be capable of Owning, Leading and coordinate operational tasks, customer escalations, process improvements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an SAP BASIS Administrator is an added advantage
- Proven experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments is a plus
- Proven experience with SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP FRUN environments
