Senior Specialist - SAP Basis, SAP NetWeaver, Business Objects, SAP HANA and SAP ASE (10yrs)

What you`ll do:

We are looking for experienced and hands-on SAP technology professional to work in the Regional Delivery MEE team with a Customer First mindset. As a team, we own the regional delivery engage customers in three segments. Proactive, Reactive, and Continuous Improvement.

 

Proactive: As a core team member, you are assigned to work with a dedicated top customer account in the MEE region for a limited period. With front office teams and TechOps delivery organization, you define and own a fit-4-purpose engagement model to maximize customer value and address pressing topics that otherwise impact daily operations. 

 

Reactive: You shall be playing a catalyst role to bring the situation into business as usual (Red-to-Green) with your experience, structured thinking, teamwork, and customer empathy with involvement in the following areas: 

  • Demand-based engagement in critical situation management e.g. Major outages, War room cases, and maintenance issues like disaster Recovery / Backup & Restore.
  • Service Entitlement fulfillment issues e.g. Delays, Complex request
  • Hypercare for specific customer case 
     

Continuous Improvement: Identify and address customer pain points and value leaks in the MEE region to further improve ECS service. Periodic engagement in ECS strategic PoC / pathfinder projects to represent delivery.

 

What you bring:

  • Hands-on experience in Basis, System Performance Management, Database, Lifecycle events (Upgrades / Updates)
  • Practical knowledge with SAP technologies like SAP NetWeaver, Business Objects, SAP HANA and SAP Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE)
  • SAP system installation / configuration with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Good understanding of around database and filesystem replication and preparation of network routing.
  • Experience in Problem Management, root cause analysis
  • Ready to learn other SAP product administrations like cloud connector, S4HANA etc
  • Use to working in a matrix set-up
  • Can take a lead to drive multiple stakeholders with Organize / Structure day2day documentation
  • English (fluent) and German added benefits

Within the Product Engineering board area, the mission of the ECS Delivery Delivery organization is to run and operate SAP’s private cloud offering. Isolated private cloud landscapes are built for customers both in SAP owned datacenter as well as on IaaS infrastructure provided by hyperscalers like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or
 

Amazon Web Services (AWS). ECS delivered services include backups, patching, provisioning, and upgrades, restore and disaster recovery, infrastructure monitoring and event detection. Services are delivered from all regions (EMEA/MEE/AMER/APJ) having a strong international focus and cultural diversity.

As part of ECS Delivery, the Disaster Recovery team focuses on implementing standardized processes to provide Disaster Recovery systems to our customers. This includes developing automation of cloud deployment and operations as well as co-innovating with customers and other SAP teams to setup first time builds of new SAP solutions in the ECS portfolio.
