User Assistance Developer Associate - 2+ Years

What you'll do: 
 
In SAP, Technical Writers are called User Assistance Developers, because that’s what you do – you assist the users of our software. 

In a nutshell, your job will be to understand how the software works, become familiar with different types of consumers of documentation, defined as SAP personas, and then formulate complex technical information into user-friendly documentation. 

You will be assigned to one of the product areas in DSC Bangalore, however, but could  also be assigned to other product areas. 

You will be involved in planning, researching, and creating user assistance deliverables, such as terminology, UI texts, guides, multimedia, scripts, context-sensitive help, tutorials, and social media content. 

The development teams for the DSC distributed across the globe. To ensure close collaboration and synergies with other UA team members, you will be a member of a UA team. On an operational level you will within a scrum team. 

After you have gained experience, we will encourage you to take on more responsibility and branch out into other projects relating to user assistance. 


What you bring: 


•    2+  years of experience in technical writing and in developing other user assistance products for the software industry. 
•    You have experience with technical writing tools and concepts such as DITA,  Ixiasoft, and Camtasia.

Qualifications:  

•    You hold a B.Tech/B.E, or a University degree preferably in Technical Communication, Media, IT, Business Studies or English. 
•    Experience in developing technical videos will be an advantage.

•    An eye for detail and a passion for delivering quality.
•    Proven experience in creating modern and easy-to-consume content.
•    You’re welcome to submit samples along with your application, such as academic essays, blog posts, scripted videos, and so on
•    Excellent communication skills in written and spoken first-language level English.
•    A positive, open-minded, and collaborative personality with strong self-management skills
•    Experience writing at an academic and/or professional level.
•    The ability to deep dive into the first principles of technical subject matter

Be a part of the exciting world of Digital Supply Chain (DSC)! The User Assistance (UA) team is based out of Bangalore supports different areas and products of SAP Supply Chain like Logistics, SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP Product Lifecycle Management, and SAP Asset Performance Management.

The User Assistance team supports development by creating a consistent end-to-end experience for our customers and users through state-of-the art UA deliverables.
