What you'll build:

We are looking for a UX Designer with strong user research skills to join our Experience Design team in Bangalore to work on Retail products within Consumer Industries.

In this role you will combine UX design and UX research skills to help shape product decisions from discovery to delivery. You’ll support research activities, contribute to design solutions, and work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure we are solving meaningful customer problems.

User Research

  • Conduct generative and evaluative research to uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunities, working closely with cross functional UX, PM and Engineering colleagues
  • Synthesize user insights into clear findings, themes, and recommendations that inform design and product decisions
  • Design compelling and digestible deliverables, focused on storytelling and highlighting important insights for product vision and roadmap development
  • Balance user research rigor with agility to deliver timely, useful results 

UX Design

  • Translate insights and requirements into user flows, ideation sessions, prototypes, and interaction patterns.
  • Create concepts and prototypes from low to high fidelity and test them with external facing end-users to iterate upon the feedback. Artifact might include storyboards, journey maps and mid-fidelity concepts.
  • Advocate for the user when working closely with product managers and engineers to understand the business and technical requirements 
  • Assist in planning and facilitation of client facing design workshops and co-innovation sessions 
  • Work closely with engineers to maintain the quality of the design intention throughout the end-to-end process

 

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years in UX Design, Product Design or User Research, ideally with hands-on experience in both UX Research and UX Design
  • University degree in Interaction Design, User Research, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction or comparable fields is required
  • A portfolio or presentation(s) demonstrating:
    • design craft (flows, ideation, prototypes, interaction details),
    • user research capabilities (methods used, insights generated),
    • and clear contribution to product and business outcomes.
  • Practical experience with a mix of research methods, both generative and evaluative, and understanding of when to apply them.
  • Strong interaction design fundamentals and user-centered design thinking
  • Hands-on experience with Figma/FigJam, Dovetail, Respondent, UserTesting
  • Curiosity about AI design tools and how to utilize them within a large company

Collaboration & Communication

  • Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to tell compelling stories, connect insights to design decisions, and influence product direction.
  • Low ego, humility, and openness to feedback.
  • Ability to clearly communicate design details to engineers and collaborate deeply with cross-functional partners.
  • Comfort working in a global, hybrid, multi–time zone environment.
  • Strong time and priority management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in international teams.
  • Ability to document and present work that demonstrates your strategic thinking, leadership, and craft.

Where you belong:

Our team applies user centered design and research processes to modernize the enterprise software experience.Your direct team is in Bangalore and the broader team spans Shanghai, China, Germany and Newport Beach, California. This role is hybrid and you would be expected to come into the office to collaborate 3 days a week from our beautiful new office in Hitech Defence and Aerospace Park in Devanahalli, Bengaluru
