User Experience Design Specialist- (6-9 yrs.)

We are looking for a highly capable UX Design Specialist with a senior mindset who can independently own complex problem spaces and deliver high-quality user experiences for AI-assisted and data-driven products. 

This role is ideal for a designer with strong UX fundamentals, experience in AI or data-heavy products, and the ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive, scalable, and user-centered solutions. While the role is positioned at a senior/mid-level, it offers a clear growth path toward lead-level ownership based on demonstrated impact, accountability, and influence. 

What you’ll build- 

As part of the Data and Analytics Design team, you will design end-to-end user experiences for data-intensive and AI-powered products. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership, maturity, and accountability—driving design quality, influencing outcomes, and collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Data Science teams, and Topic/Domain UX Leads. 

This role provides opportunities to progressively take on broader responsibility, including influencing design direction across initiatives and supporting peer designers through feedback and collaboration. 

Design & Delivery 

• Own end-to-end UX design for complex features and workflows, from discovery through final delivery. 

• Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs aligned with user needs and business goals. 

• Simplify complex data and AI concepts into clear, intuitive, and actionable user experiences 

• Ensure designs are usable, accessible, scalable, and aligned with SAP Fiori and SAP Design System standards. 

AI-Driven Experience Design 

• Design experiences for AI-powered products, including: 

• Conversational interfaces 

• AI-assisted workflows 

• Predictive and recommendation-based experiences 

• Apply an AI-first mindset, identifying opportunities where AI can enhance user decision-making, efficiency, and outcomes. 

• Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to translate AI capabilities into meaningful user value. 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement 

• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Data Science, Research teams, and Topic/Domain UX Leads to shape requirements and outcomes. 

• Clearly communicate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations to both design and product stakeholders. 

• Actively participate in design reviews, demos, and working sessions with confidence and clarity. 

Quality, Consistency & Standards 

• Advocate for high design quality, attention to detail, and consistency across experiences. 

• Ensure adherence to usability, accessibility, and responsible AI standards throughout the design lifecycle. 

• Contribute to shared UI libraries, patterns, and best practices aligned with SAP Fiori and enterprise design systems. 

What you bring- 

• 5–7+ years of professional UX or product design experience. 

• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design ownership for complex products. 

• Proven experience designing for AI-driven or data-intensive products. 

• Strong proficiency in Figma or equivalent design tools. 

• Solid understanding of UX best practices, user research, and usability testing. 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions. 

• Experience designing for enterprise or B2B products. 

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Design System, SAPUI5, or similar enterprise design systems. 

• Experience collaborating with AI/ML teams and understanding technical constraints. 

• Exposure analytics platforms, dashboards, or data visualization products.
