What you'll do

Accountability

  • Responsible for delivery of outcome of assigned design projects
  • Works independently within a given area of responsibility.
  • Contributes to design standards and identifies areas of improvement.

 

Complexity

  • Contributes and works on design projects and activities with moderate complexity.
  • Work is independent & collaborative in nature.
  • Provide regular updates to the manager or project manager on project status.
  • Decisions/solutions can essentially enhance existing systems & processes.

 

Experience

  • Strong competence with various tools, procedures, and programming languages used to accomplish the job.

 

Communication

  • Build collaborative work relationships with similar functions across SAP.
  • Communicates clearly, in a way that others can understand within defined processes & policies.
  • Communicates relevant messages promptly and with constructive feedback to colleagues & managers.

 

What you bring

We are looking for a junior to mid-level designer who can challenge the status quo and stay curious. You enjoy working on global products and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations and be responsible for designs, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Expected to design the functionality of the required feature(s), and to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it by user feedback and other research opportunities.
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to produce insights and inform your eventual designs.
  • Make design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
  • Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to teams and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
  • Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
  • A solid performer with strong communication skills, proactively building relationships and deepening influence at the team level.

 

Experience & Educational Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional interaction or user design experience. Understanding of fundamental design principles and processes. Fluent with industry design patterns.
  • Aptitude in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe XD, Axure, and the like is a must.
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Best practices to design solutions, and a strong skill in mobile-first and responsive design.
  • Basic understanding of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
