About the role:

The ISBN Senior Value Advisor is a critical role supporting the ISBN business to grow sales, pipeline, customer adoption and satisfaction. The ISBN Value Advisor provides a business process and industry perspective in the context of procurement, develops procurement-focused business cases, and thought leadership to support ISBN sales cycles. The Advisor participates in sales cycles as a member of the virtual account team to support the ISBN sales account strategy with a cloud and value-focused customer engagement approach and contributes to building and maintaining SAP’s leadership position and brand.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Core criteria and role objectives:

Demonstrate expert foundational knowledge critical to the role, such as creating business cases and related metrics, along with use of value-advisory specific tools and templates, with a specific focus on ISBN. Some of the ISBN Value Advisor’s key activities would include:

  1. Successfully pitching value engagements to customers.
  2. Leading complex value engagements with cross-functional teams (internal and external).
  3. Contributing to internal account strategy discussions in a meaningful fashion.
  4. Conducting executive-level dialogues with customers in relation to the deliverables.
  5. Developing quality deliverables and delivering them in a timely and coherent manner.
  6. Establishing and maintaining the trust of internal & external stakeholders.

 

A typical engagement requires obtaining buy-in of key stakeholders, confirming scope and timeline, conducting discovery workshops, analyzing and synthesizing information, producing quality, executive ready deliverables with the ability to articulate work in a compelling and effective manner.

 

Experience:

  • 13+ years of relevant experience preferred either as a value-focussed practitioner, management consultant, or an operational consultant.
  • Deep process-level knowledge of procurement as a business function within enterprises
  • Good working knowledge of SAP’s ISBN solution portfolio
  • Possess a strong executive presence.
  • Experience building and retaining strong customer relationships.
  • Experience in diverse technology landscape and process/technology integration issues, SAP technologies strongly preferred.
  • Proficient speaker comfortable interacting with customers one to one and/or one to many scenarios.
  • Ability to produce storylines and high-quality presentations in PowerPoint with a very keen eye for detail. Comfortable with doing financial analysis in excel spreadsheets.
