The Happiness at Work Initiative is a board-sponsored project to pilot activities that combine many interrelated concepts (happiness, leadership, trust, autonomy, authenticity, purpose) in order to create a resilient, enjoyable, and adaptive culture for the company.


We are looking for dynamic students to support the communication of this initiative. He/she will bring the ability create engaging communication assets, work in a team, and be a creative self-starter. The goal is to create compelling stories based upon the experiences of teams & individuals across all of SAP globally, communicate these through multi-media channels, and monitor the impact. As a team, students will take full ownership over the full communication strategy and execution.

We offer students a diverse, international, and exciting work environment where they can grow their skills and build strong networks across the global organization. While working in a supportive environment, students will be given full autonomy to drive activities such as:

  • Conducting worldwide interviews and creating writing stories, scripts, articles about lighthouse examples of teams which showcase new forms of work, leadership, and collaboration
  • Propose storylines, concepts, and prototypes which can be reviewed and iterated upon
  • Create final design & communication assets (written, video, print, digital, etc., as the story best requires)
  • Working directly with global communication & marking, to publish, promote, and monitor stories in order to get maximal impact through multiple media channels (online, social media, etc.)


  • Student (f/m) of a university (preferred fields: Journalism, Media, Communication)
  • Valid student status required
  • Very strong English language skills
  • Effective communication and self-organization skills with an attention to detail
  • Intercultural awareness and empathy
  • Interest in “new work” topics and promote non-hierarchical ways of working
  • Demonstrated ability to create various communication assets (interviews, stories, articles, etc.)
  • Ability to articulate both the emotional and factual aspects of a story
  • A clear voice and style which brings both personality and professionalism to your work
