Meet the team (Quote-to-Order Product Management Team in Public Cloud ERP)
The mission of the SAP S/4HANA and Public Cloud ERP Product Management team is to drive and grow SAP’s core business as a market leader in cloud ERP. Our team is responsible for defining product scenarios based on market and customer needs and translating them into actionable product requirements for engineering teams.
We work closely with engineering, user experience, product marketing, customers, and partners to continuously enhance the SAP Public Cloud ERP portfolio. Product Management is the authoritative voice of legitimate customer challenges, driving an outcome-based vision and roadmap that solves customer pain points, excites stakeholders, and contributes to the business success of customers and SAP alike.
Our Quote-to-Order product management team empowers customers across industries to streamline their end-to-end quoting, pricing, and configuration processes with scalability, consistency, and automation. The CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solution integrates seamlessly with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, delivering tailored capabilities to meet diverse business needs.
The Role
As a CPQ Product Manager in our team, you will contribute to the evolution of the Quote-to-Order process in SAP Public Cloud ERP. You will work in close collaboration with senior product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to define product capabilities and help shape the future of our CPQ solutions.
You will be an individual contributor to the team, supporting key responsibilities such as:
Product vision & strategy:

Support the articulation of an outcome-based product vision that aligns with customer and market needs.

Participate in market research and customer engagements to understand trends and support prioritization efforts.

Contribute to internal business case preparation and documentation of product requirements.
Ownership & problem-solving

Take responsibility for defined problem spaces within the Quote-to-Order domain and contribute to potential solution directions.

Collaborate with senior product managers and engineering teams to define scope and solution approaches.
Continuous product backlog planning & execution:

Support the maintenance and prioritization of the product backlog based on product goals and customer feedback.

Write user stories and contribute to acceptance criteria for product features.

Coordinate with related product teams to ensure solution consistency across components.
Cross-functional collaboration

Work with engineering, user experience, and product marketing teams to contribute to feature delivery and end-to-end solution development.

Participate in product planning sessions and support stakeholder alignment activities.

Learn and adopt best practices from experienced product managers in the team.
Customer-centric and data-driven decision making

Help champion user needs through analysis of customer feedback and usage data.

Contribute to product insights and reporting by supporting data collection and analysis.

Assist in preparing recommendations for future product enhancements.
Role Requirements

Motivation to build expertise in Quote-to-Order and understand key business processes of cloud ERP customers.

Ability to work within defined areas of responsibility and drive execution of tasks and deliverables.

Some familiarity with ERP software or SaaS principles is beneficial.

Willingness to learn independently and take initiative in problem-solving.

Strong communication skills and ability to convey ideas clearly in cross-functional settings.

Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback from colleagues and leadership.
Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in the software industry, ideally in product management, product owner role or consulting.

Exposure to managing product lifecycle activities or contributing to software delivery projects is a plus.

Professional fluency in spoken and written English.
