It’s an exciting time at SAP Concur as we are fully moving into AWS, are re-architecting our existing applications, and are re-writing much of the core travel and expense management services. You will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as we transform our software delivery techniques.

 

The Central Architecture team designs and develops solutions for hard problems that Concur runs into while hosting such a large Enterprise application on the web. We work on problems that address issues around scalability, compliance, security and manageability of our software and development processes.

  • Responsible for the architecture, quality and delivery of Concur products.

  • Develop tools/processes/standards to help Engineering teams deliver better products – it can involve some sample code development, coaxing of Engineers, persistence and influencing actions of others.

  • Ensure that our products meet the security and compliance bars we set for ourselves.

  • Make decisions about in-house developments, purchases, or partnerships on product level.

  • Work in close collaboration with other teams, such as release management, production, and governance.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience Required: 11-15 Years 

  • Advanced technical skills and special knowledge in one / several areas

  • Deep understanding of large scale cloud applications

  • Desire to learn and ability to think through problems

  • Strong desire to keep commitments

  • Ability to look at the bigger picture

  • Ability to work independently on topics and influencing others

  • Great verbal and written skills

Experience and Language Requirements

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • At least 10 years of work experience
