Purpose and Objective:
Concur Technologies Inc. seeks a Developer at our Bellevue, WA location responsible for driving SAP Concur initiatives to reimagine and rearchitect SAP Concur authentication, profile and user provisioning services.
Expectations and Tasks:
Design and develop infrastructure supporting services in Python programming language. Implement Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) automated tests and automated pipelines. Package services as Docker, deploy to Concur production environments using cloud native technologies like Helm, Kubernetes, Service Mesh, AWS. Own performance, metrics, resiliency, testing in production, failure proofing & scalability of services you build. Mentor junior team members, perform code reviews and design reviews. Collaborate with Product Management to deliver best value for Concur users, customers, across teams and organizations to efficiently deliver on business commitments. 10% travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study and 5 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 2 years of experience.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 2 years in the following: Build and manage Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline using GitLab server for build, docker, deploy and auto testing stages for applications and micro services; Package web applications and micro services as docker images and push them into docker hub /ECR (Amazon Elastic Container Registry), deploy, monitor and troubleshoot applications on Amazon EKS (Elastic Container service for Kubernetes) cluster using Kubernetes deployment; Create and manage AWS resources using Infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation stack and Terraform; Perform system administration and various DevOps automation using CLI and scripting (e.g., AWS CLI, Python, Bash shell scripting); Use various AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Device Farm, Secrets Manager etc.) and other open-source tools for solving DevOps problems as encountered in the project; Work on application observability through end-to-end tracing with Jaeger, collect and monitor Kubernetes metrics through Prometheus and setup alerts with Alert Manager and visualize them through Grafana graphs and charts dashboard; Work on scaling application performance with AWS autoscaling and Kubernetes Horizontal Pod Autoscaler; Understand application enhancement requirements by going through functional specifications, prepare technical specification document and code new feature using ASP.NET and C# 4.0. Experience must also include: Understand system requirements and design test scenarios; Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for applications using Microsoft Test Manager; Design and develop unit test cases using Visual studio unit test framework; Perform Graphical User Interface testing using black box methodology; Verify application data with backend SQL server 2012 database using SQL queries; Test OLAP cube using SQL and MDX queries in SQL Server Analysis Services engine; Develop Oracle stored procedures for SQL crude (data insert/update/delete) operations; Design and develop complex stored procedures using SQL server, perform SQL tuning and optimization to improve system performance; Design and develop complex web pages using ASP.NET MVC architecture, Ajax and JavaScript; Work on Microsoft Business Intelligence (MS BI), create SQL jobs and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages for ETL workflow, develop SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports for end user; Work for application maintenance, analyze work requests, prepare impact analysis document, modify/enhance source code as per the requirement and deliver the work request. 10% travel required.
