The Strategic Pricing and Commercialization team is responsible for developing and implementing SAP’s commercial strategy, including pricing / commercializing SAP innovation (e.g. S/4HANA), adjusting commercial policies for existing offerings in line with market dynamics, and operationalizing SAP pricing policies.

 

Team’s vision: Turn pricing into a strategic lever that helps SAP drive incremental revenue, enhance margins and deliver the Intelligent Enterprise.

 

Team’s mission: Develop and implement a commercial strategy that makes it easy for customers to consume our innovation, while helping SAP achieve its financial objectives

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Develop pricing analysis and recommendations for new products, features, services and promotions
  • Work across global, cross-functional project teams to structure and execute analysis required to develop pricing
  • Interface with IT and sales support teams to implement new offers and address operational issues
  • Monitor and evaluate existing pricing and cost models to support ongoing margin analysis
  • Assist other team members with relevant operational tasks and select strategic activities
  • Enhance team processes with best practice information and improvements
  • Serve as third-level Pricing/deal support

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

A successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing industry, comfortable with ambiguity, flexible in working across different cultures, thrive on hard work and challenge, and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good financial modeling skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, team player, ability to build relationships and influence senior level colleagues
  • Solid experience with office suite tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Business intelligence and reporting a plus
  • Understanding of IaaS/SaaS commercial pricing models and best practices a strong plus

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 3 - 5 years of total work experience; experience in high tech / software industry preferred

 

LOCATION

North America.  Hybrid Remote/Bellevue, WA preferred
