The Strategic Operations Team within the SAP Global Security’s Cybersecurity Defense and Design organization manages all strategic objectives, projects and engagements for the cybersecurity organization. The team works closely together with the SAP Global Security Leadership Team, as well as with various Lines of Business at SAP to secure the SAP enterprise and enhance SAP’s security posture.


The team is globally deployed and is looking for a Senior Security Project Anayst to plan and manage projects and initiatives within the Cybersecurity organization at SAP.


Your responsibilities as a Senior Security Project Analyst will also consist of various strategic, operational and administrative duties within the area of cybersecurity. In addition to these tasks, you will have the chance to generate and own content within projects as well as enhance your working knowledge on cybersecurity.




In this role, you will provide PMO workstream coordination and project support for the SAP Cyber Fusion Center Public Sector by interfacing with the SAP Cloud Lines of Business (LoBs) to support Public Sector Security Operations (PSSO), operations, compliance and risk management functions.  You will support the translation of SAP cybersecurity strategic objectives and models into work plans and deliverables, as well as determine, define, and socialize project scope, objectives, and schedule; ensure that project objectives meet SAP’s cybersecurity strategic vision and plan.


You will be responsible for planning and sourcing resources required to meet the objectives in an effective and efficient manner and consistently track project costs and project schedule to meet the budget needs and timelines.  You will drive visibility, transparency, and consistent communication across the organization to ensure timely escalations and dependencies management and you will identify and analyze project risks; collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks and avoid recurrence.  The perfect candidate will drive efficiencies through the implementation and management of comprehensive processes that empower the organization to secure the enterprise and products.


In this role you will also assist leadership in developing and tracking program performance metrics, prepare reports outlining the progress and adjustments of your cybersecurity project(s), program(s), and/or initiative(s) for different stakeholders, contribute to Project Management learning circles across SAP to share best practices and areas for improvement in the Project Management standards and lifecycle.  Lastly you will drive executive-level awareness and sponsorship of cybersecurity strategy, threats, risks, challenges, and successes.




  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government clearance (DOD) is an absolute MUST – will require US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines or similar work experience
  • Knowledge of project management 
  • Knowledge of cloud compliance frameworks (i.e. SOC, PCI, ISO 27001, FedRAMP or FISMA) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Good C-Level communication skills
  • Openness to work with global, and virtual teams from different areas
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in both German and English (oral, written)
  • Security Certifications like CISSP, Security+, PMI, etc. are an asset




  • 4 – 5 years of experience working in project management in relevant areas (e.g. cybersecurity, IT, product development, etc.)
  • 1 – 2 years of experience working in a security operations organization or similar environment
