What you’ll do

We are looking for a Cloud-Native Developer (f/m/d) to join our team in owning and shaping the future of key services in SAP's Business Technology Platform. As part of the delivery team, your responsibilities include to:

• Collaborate in the research, design, and implementation of advanced features for SAP Business Technology Platform's state-of-the-art cloud solutions.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery for projects by committing to timelines and scope. 
• Lead and manage backlog items, providing mentorship to developers for optimal execution. 
• Develop and enhance automation tests, while proactively monitoring and improving service performance and security. 
• Acquire and share extensive technical knowledge, overseeing the lifecycle from requirements to cloud deployment, including developer 24/7 on-duty support shifts.

What you bring 

• University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related with 2+ years of proven development experience in object-oriented programming languages.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, Java, C++, Node.JS as well as knowledge and experience in cloud-native paradigms and container technologies (Docker, K8S).
• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices, automation environments, and tools like Jenkins. 
• Experience with debugging and monitoring distributed systems with tools such as Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, etc.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, MS Azure, GCP, etc.).
• You possess a strong ability to quickly learn new technologies, excellent communication skills, and are results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of independent work as well as teamwork.
• Fluent English language skills, written and spoken.

Beneficial: Experience in computer networking concepts and specifically with massive scale of network traffic.

You will work as a part of a highly motivated business unit mostly located in Israel and apply agile development practices like pair programming, test-driven development, and continuous integration and delivery. That also means getting familiar with the newest technologies and open-source projects.

In SAP Central Cloud Services, we aim to provide the best-in-class end-to-end solutions for developers and LOBs creating, extending, and accessing SAP applications on SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP). We are building services that help both internal stakeholders and external customers adopt BTP with the highest technical standards. Among these services, you can find SAP Application Frontend (hosting and managing frontend applications for SAP external and internal customers), Unified Gateway (an entry point to SAP cloud solutions that offers traffic management, security, monitoring, and harmonization for SAP Intelligent Suite APIs) and the K8s infrastructure for Business Application Studio (development environment, tailored for efficient development of business applications for the Intelligent Enterprise). These services are a key part of the SAP BTP strategy and complete the end-to-end experience we deliver in our technology group.
