What you'll do
As an Engineering / Development Manager (f/m/d), you will:
Recruit, coach, and mentor. Attract new talents to join our unit. Inspire and support your team members to adopt the latest engineering practices and tools. Understanding the underlying technologies will help you become an active participant in achieving the teams goals and aspirations.
Collaborate and communicate effectively. Work closely with your stakeholder. Provide technical guidance to the product strategy, roadmap and architecture. Build transparency and manage changes by successfully communicating intent and meaning of the message.
Build bridges, not silos. Maintain a trust-building mindset of finding solutions together in which everyones effort is the basis for joint success.
Team up to assure the completion of experience-rich products in quality, on time, and within budget.
Continuously deliver, measure, and learn. Set expectations and empower your team to meet them. Measure success and manage the delivery accountability for your team. Learn with your team about the relevance of technologies and practices.
What you bring
- University degree in computer science, engineering, or similar area. 8+ years of experience in software and/or product engineering with 5+ years of experience in a software project and/or product management in an agile setup
- Experience as people manager in a mid/large-sized global enterprise and coaching teams
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: open-minded, team player, result-oriented, motivated to work in an international and diverse environment
- Proven track record of conceiving, developing, delivering, and operating (micro-) services in the Cloud
Ideally, you also have
- Fluent English language skills oral, written and in presentation; Good German language skills oral and written are a plus
- Experience with engineering platform services with an outstanding user experience using Cloud-native technologies
