SUMMARY & ROLE INFORMATION

With the market convergence of RPA, workflow management, process analytics and collaboration solutions, business process automation is entering a new era: The age of Hyperautomation. For SAP, it’s one of the most strategic areas of investment. In this role, you will be part of the team driving the product development and go-to-market of SAP’s new hyperautomation solution.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be building on and leading an exceptional engineering team within the engineering function according to our values.

  • Build self-organizing and high-performing teams by focusing on development of the engineers
  • Coach and mentor your team members and provide strong leadership, inspiration, thoughtful guidance and giving frequent feedback 
  • Recruit new talents to shape the team structure along evolving needs 
  • Establish a sustainable engineering culture to grow strong talents on both technology and business excellency 
  • Support on resource planning and resource assignment for development team 
  • Drive improvements in development processes 
  • Establish a tight connection to other teams to unblock dependencies, provide visibility and transparency

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Required skills

  • MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • Strong software engineering background and is capable of engaging in technical conversations, understanding of our stack to lead a highly technical team/product
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js / Angular / TypeScript 
  • Passionate about people and has great collaboration, coordination skills
  • Care about engineering quality and know how it can be achieved
  • Excellent English skills 

Preferred skills

  • Engineering manager / Team lead experience 
  • Familiar with DevOps
  • Familiar with unit testing, integration testing, e2e test automation
  • Familiar with event-based software architecture
  • Familiar with CI/CD process and tools, such as Jenkins
  • Familiar with SAP processes
  • Worked in startup environment before

Work Experience

  • 6+ years of experience working in software engineering
  • 4+ years of experience working in Backend or Frontend development
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile process
