Expectations and Tasks

SAP’s Technology & Innovation (T&I) board area is responsible for the overall platform and technology development at SAP such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like Analytics, SAP Leonardo Machine Learning and IoT across SAP’s product portfolio. T&I is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and leads SAP’s activities in Berlin.

For SAP Berlin, we’re looking for a communications professional as a parental leave substitute. You will drive all internal and external communication activities for SAP Berlin and work closely with our colleagues from SAP’s central communication and marketing organization. You will have the unique chance to work with a high level of autonomy in a creative environment while also gaining experience from working for a global technology company.

You will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • End-to-end responsibility for internal and external communication activities for SAP Berlin
  • Social media lead for SAP Berlin
  • Communications support around internal and external events
  • Positioning the teams by providing communication support ranging from key messaging, presentations or case studies
  • Continuous production and seeding of high-quality content for internal and external platforms, such as newsletters or blogposts
  • Maintenance of internal platforms
  • Reporting and monitoring of our communication activities
  • Positioning SAP as an employer of choice


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications or a degree in a related field like social sciences or economics with related practical communications experiences (internships, freelance activities etc.) in the area of public relations or corporate communication
  • Strong experience with social media and multimedia channels
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and German
  • Confident personality who likes to take the initiative to drive a topic and with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and international environment
  • Strong passion, professionalism and dedication in developing compelling stories for innovation and technology topics
  • Strong networking skills


Work Experience

1-3 years working experience in a corporate communications department, at a PR agency, as a journalist or social media expert
