Summary & Role Information 
As Lead Architect in the Modeling and Consumption sub-group, you will be responsible for the tech strategy and architecture of SAP Signavio’s core modeling capabilities within the Business Modeling and Workflow (BM&W) group. 
 
Together with the Head of the Modeling and Consumption sub-group and experts from other domains, such as Product Owners, or Tech Leads, you will make sure the sub-group develop and builds its cloud service architectures in an efficient and value-generating manner. You will drive the evolution of our current architecture to meet market needs and enable efficient product development.  
  
What you will do  
•    Leading cross team initiatives like architecture harmonization.
•    Create technical strategy and align across Modeling and Consumption teams, participate in strategy as a part of the tech vision.
•    Define and detail out plans to reduce architectural debts.
•    Define domain boundaries and align the SAP-Signavio Modeling and Consumption product vision with the SAP-Signavio Suite vision.
•    Develop and provide technical standards and guidance in all software design and development activities.  
•    Demonstrate full responsibility for accepted tasks and demonstrate high quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency.  
•    Identify system-level improvements and deficiencies and bring them to light. 
•    Contribute to and drive all aspects of development life cycle. 
•    Act as sparring partner and coach for most of the senior engineers in the group; provide in-depth feedback to Senior and Lead Engineers during appraisals.

•    Experience in redesigning monoliths based on modern cloud architecture principles

•    Superior communications and presentation skills
•    Critical thinking with regards to product, processes, organization and technology
•    Experience in documentation, system architecture analysis and design
•    Curiosity around technology and trends
•    Ability to build and foster effective working model between different stakeholders.  
•    Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and software architecture.  
•    Experience in formulizing technical strategies for B2B Cloud products.

The Business Modeling and Workflow (BM&W) group is one of five groups in the engineering department of the SAP Signavio unit. We value consistency, modularity & re-usability, as well as simplicity. We strive for a coherent user experience across the entire product suite and an effective & efficient cross-product development experience. To this effect, our teams deliver SAP Signavio core products such as the SAP Signavio Process Manager or SAP Signavio Governance components.
