We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from. We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to strengthen our Process Governance team in Signavio’s Business Modeling and Workflows Group. We expect a good level of understanding of business process modeling as you would often liaise with B2B customers who are at a mature stage of their transformation journey. Previous knowledge about Business Process Management fundamentals will be a big plus and we will bring you up to speed with the help of subject matter experts. We also expect a fair amount of technical expertise as you would be expected to collaborate closely with Tech Leads in your team and other Product Owners in SAP Signavio who own parts of the Signavio Process Manager product portfolio.

You will be working closely with the Principal Product Owner, Product Leads, Tech Leads and of course the talented engineers in the team to distil our vision into priorities and measurable objectives, planning continuously and managing the backlog day-to-day for one of the Process Governance teams. Stakeholder communication, building understanding and support for what we do, fostering continuous improvement and celebrating wins with the team are other key responsibilities.

What You'll Do

Your job is to make sure that the team works on what’s most important and valuable at any given time. To do that, you

  • Work with the team, Tech Leads, Product Leads, and Principal Product Owners to turn the abstract vision and requirements into objectives
  • Own the team’s backlog, define and write epics, stories in collaboration with engineers
  • Align priorities and maintain a prioritized backlog across all sources of work (for example other teams’ dependencies, tech strategy…)
  • Ensure delivery on strategic objectives and OKRs
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and owners of the SAP Signavio Process Governance strategy
  • Translate needs and manage expectations across the team and stakeholders
  • Create transparency on progress, risks and scope changes through our established channels and artifacts
  • Manage for progress, help remove impediments to ensure delivery
  • You serve as the spokesperson and ambassador of the team, and celebrate their achievements towards the rest of the organization

What You'll Bring

  • Hands-on experience in working as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
  • Technical literacy and hands-on technical experience
  • Good understanding of and experience with business process modeling and popular notations and a willingness to immerse yourself in a new domain
  • Ability to lead through, connect and create progress when things aren’t clear or the way forward is not yet well-defined
  • Communication skills that allow you to translate between different domains, adjust to different audiences and build relationships within and without the team
  • A solid toolkit and methods that help you along the path from problem to a solution delivered and adopted to impact achieved (prioritization, concepting, slicing, and aligning scope, planning and estimation, setting success metrics etc.)
  • An eye on non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, availability, cost, and operations
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring your less experienced colleagues by drawing upon your experience, skills and knowledge to ‘give back’ to others
  • A willingness to contribute on our journey from our startup heritage to our SAP Signavio future – which sometimes means having to reconcile the larger corporate picture or processes with our own desire for speed and experimentation (we know this isn’t easy)
