About the team:
The Technology & Innovation (T&I) board area manages SAP´s overall platform, technology and innovation strategy. T&I drives the incubation of new ventures (SAP.iO), the development of innovative solutions, and the engineering of intelligent technologies (ML, AI, IoT, etc.) to build a fully integrated, extensible foundation for all SAP applications – the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).  


The T&I Strategy and Operations team within the T&I board area orchestrates and guides the execution of SAP T&I´s global strategy with the local Berlin & Potsdam division in conjunction with SAP Labs Berlin, focusing on strengthening SAP´s position as an innovation driver and thought leader in the vast ecosystem of Berlin through various strategic and customer-centric projects and driving local employee engagement. 

The T&I Berlin Operations and Business Insights team is responsible for all operational, analytical, and project management tasks of the T&I Strategy and Operations Berlin & Potsdam division and SAP Labs Berlin. The team also functions as cross-departmental and cross-board support to enable internal and external collaboration-projects and establish business processes by turning creative thinking into innovative solutions pursuing an end-to-end responsibility approach for all projects in record time.

What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP T&I Strategy and Operations iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Project Management
Work Area: Administration
Location: Berlin (remote work possible within Germany)
Expected start date: July 1st, 2022


In this role, you’ll:

support planning, implementing, and managing of strategic projects. You will contribute by structuring complex tasks using project management best practices, thereby ensuring smooth collaboration of various stakeholders. You are familiar with methods such as WBS, EVM and milestone planning. In addition, you are a passionate advocate of proactive communication, and you apply your excellent organizational skills to convince our top management.

During your internship, you will be:

  • supporting the project manager in structuring, planning, and controlling of project deliverables
  • identifying opportunities to optimize processes, performing ad-hoc analyses to provide data insights useful for decision making, and for anticipating risks
  • creating high-quality presentations to communicate the project status to our top management and relevant stakeholders
  • facilitating the exchange of information regarding interdisciplinary tasks between multiple workstreams
  • ensuring that open action items as well as critical deadlines are tracked in our project management tools  
  • other task as assigned 


Who you are:
You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • You are a student who is about to conclude studies towards a business degree with majors in project management, strategic management, organizational development, controlling, or related fields
  • You have gained first practical experiences, preferably in consulting, organizational development, or project management
  • You have gained first international experience through a semester abroad or internships
  • You are well-versed in MS Office and further can rapidly and independently learn new tools to translate sophisticated and creative analyses into actionable results, messages, and presentations
  • You have fluent German and English language skills
  • You can break-down complex problems and confidently manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Any kind of project management certification (CAPM, PMP, Scrum, PRINCE2, IPMA) is a plus
  • Internship period: 6 months, full time availability starting May 1st

Note for Germany: currently the SAP Internship Experience Program is only open to interns and being hired into other contract types such as working students will preclude the candidate's participation in the program.
