What you’ll do:

Within the corporate sustainability team, the Sustainability (Senior) Consultant (f/m/d) actively contributes to the success of SAP’s environmental sustainability initiatives and the management of the Net-Zero 2030 program. This requires a strong focus on the goal-oriented execution of project activities and relationship building with key stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of environmental-reducing measures at SAP across the globe.   

  • Strongly contribute to SAP’s environmental sustainability programs and initiatives to ensure SAP meets its commitments outlined in the SAP Global Environmental Policy such achieving Net-Zero by 2030   
  • Analyze, report, and share insights on environmental performance data  
  • Manage and review reporting requirements for SAP’s greenhouse gas footprint and calculation methods (especially scope 3 upstream and downstream emissions) 
  • Provide executional support of Net-Zero projects (renewable energy, electrification of car fleet, green cloud, science-based target) 
  • Research and present sustainability trends, technology, and innovation related to our environmental impact 
  • Serve as business partner for our solution development to drive implementation of SAP sustainability software within the company 
  • Build up expert knowledge on environmental sustainability, provide thought leadership and act as a trusted advisor for our community  
  • Represent SAP internally and externally as a role model for sustainability 
  • Partner with sustainability team members and colleagues from other departments globally. 

     

What you bring:
 

  • University degree (preferred fields of study: natural sciences, ecology, business informatics, or sustainability management) 
  • 3+ years of working experience   
  • Excellent and fluent English skills, both written and spoken 
  • Very good German skills, both written and spoken   
  • Strong project management skills    
  • Knowledge of environmental opportunities and challenges, technology, and innovation  
  • Very good analytical skills 
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (esp. MS Excel and PowerPoint) 
  • Proactive, flexible, collaborative working style and eager to learn 
  • Intercultural sensitivity and ability to influencing without authority
