What you'll do

 

Your primary focus will be to learn the codebase and collaborate with your team members. At junior level, you are expected to deliver on small sized, non-complex tasks that are well-defined and estimated, as an individual contributor within your team. You receive mentoring and coaching support from senior team members to enable your growth and develop your skills further.

 

  • Help develop new UI components in JavaScript, predominantly with React and GraphQL
  • Together with the team, be end-to-end responsible for the product, from discussing features in the team with the PO to bringing and observing it in production
  • Ensuring quality of developed features by implementing tests on different levels (unit, component and end-to-end)
  • Participate in pair programming sessions with senior team members on a regular basis and act on feedback provided
  • Actively contribute towards writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria and applying estimation techniques
  • Learn from experienced senior developers and gain valuable insights into agile product development
  • Create and update documentation
  • Learn and follow agile methodologies (such as Scrum, Kanban), and actively contribute to team ceremonies such as daily standups, events and meetings

 

What you bring

 

  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript programming, preferably using React
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Have a growth mindset and proactively pursue learning opportunities and challenges
  • Passion for programming and a good logical understanding of technical processes
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • The drive to understand the needs of our customers
  • Willingness to be coached and mentored by others
  • Appreciation for receiving and giving feedback in order to learn and grow
  • Basic knowledge in GraphQL or willingness to learn it

Today, SAP Signavio is one of the fastest growing cloud units within SAP and represents SAP’s spearhead for all things process.

 

About the team: Process Intelligence

This role is situated in our Berlin office which is the main seat for SAP Signavio. Most of the team sits here but this role can be seated anywhere in Germany. This junior engineer role is designed to strengthen our Process Analysis and Actions team.

 

Your set of application documents should contain a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
